The twinkle of my eye

A stare into the sky

Can you love me?

Why?

God created me and in this I should dwell.

But it is hard for me, can’t you tell?

I look in the mirror and a stranger stares back.

I have never truly seen myself and so in self esteem I lack.

It is hard for me to smile and say that I am okay with me.

I want to see what God can see, what does it mean to be?

I am beautiful and perfect in His sight.

Nothing is wrong with me, God is always right!

You can take it or leave it, I really don’t care.

I have taken more than I can bare.

I am fine and you can say what you will.

I DO LOVE ME and ever more still.

I stand proud as a strong Black Queen.

I will have more than anyone has seen!

So in the twinkle of my eye stands beauty and grace.

I can see God all in my face.

Never more will I doubt what God has done.

With that said…I am the one!!!!
