I have always wanted to become an ordained minister. I wanted to be able to officiate wedding mostly but after my own experience 10 years I wished so much to be able to give final blessings to those dying from a terminal disease. I worked and researched but always found that I had to be a member of a particular faith until the last few years. And I was afraid of the fly by night ordinations. I found a church and researched it and made calls. I finally found a church I can become ordained through without the expectation of a certain faith. I can now do all weddings, not just catholic, christian, or baptist. I am a non-denominational minister. This is what I am happy with!!! This is great news for me!

So many people before me have heard these words about a family member or maybe themselves. Grandma is 74, has had emphysema for a year, been on oxygen during activity and living somewhat good quality of life. Grandma & Mom called us all to the hospital room for a meeting to tell us of the diagnosis today and her decision to NOT do chemo. She is going to "give it to God". She has lived her life and a good one and she is going to leave this world with dignity. I support her decision and her reasons. But some family members dont and one is so mad at her and everyone who supports her she caused a horrible outburst today. One can only hope she is doing what she feels is best for her. But even though I support her my heart still hurts that within a few months or so an important part of my life will be gone. I want to go back 10 years and try again to make more good memories so that she will have more to live for I suppose. But I can't so I will have to just... "Give it to God"

Being fat is an epidemic in the US so they say. But they never take the time to show one other side of the coin. I have Cushings Syndrome. Its the "fat disease". My body makes a chemical which is absorbed into the thyroid and caused me to gain weight at an unimaginable rate. You also get this hump on your back right below the neck. I gained 200 lbs in 6 months. And they thought I was just over eating. I had not changed my eating habits in that time. I did try to change things like going vegetarian for awhile to no avail. Millions suffer from it and most are undiagnosed. There is treatment for it but it is mostly a diet and some thyroid meds. After I divorced in 2000 I went into therapy cuz of the divorce and started working on losing the weight. I lost 150 lbs in a year and a half but it doesnt appear anymore will come off. The moral of this blog is, maybe, just maybe some of those people the skinny people make fun of cuz of their weight may just have no control over their situation. Is it to much to ask for you to stop and think before you open your mouth?

My favortie thing to do is give at Christmas time. But as a dump truck driver Christmas is a time for layoff so I had to find cheap ways to still fulfill my being. I found giving a Christmas decorated bag of cookies to friends is a great way to make them smile. It's cheap, its quick, and its sweet! Here is the recipe. 1 stick Butter 2 Cups Sugar 4 tbsp Cocoa 1/2 cup Milk 2 cups Oatmeal 1/2 cup Peanut Butter 1 tsp. Vanilla In a pan on the stove with it set at halfway drop in stick of butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk. Stir til melted and mixed. Once it begins to boil in the center of the pan, set a timer and let it boil for 2 1/2 minutes. When finished boiling, turn off heat, add peanut butter and oatmeal. Stir quickly and remove pan from stove. Mix should be thick once mixed! Put on a counter a long piece of foil. Using a spoon make big or small blobs on the foil and let it sit til cool.

Well as you already know if you saw my page, my name is Kris. The "Jailbird" is my CB handle given to me by my co-worker 9 years ago during my divorce. Let's just say I should have 86'd divorce court that day. LOL I came to fubar by invitation from a friend. I am currently on winter layoff til spring and its much needed after a long summer and fall. So I may wasting time here til its time to hit the pavement again. Who am I? My hubby name is Jerry. We have been married 5 years and he is a great guy! I have 3 daughters and he has a son to give us a blended family of 6. And what makes it tough is my daughter and his son are both 16! AHHHH! Two rebels at once!! LOL My oldest is grown up and moved on to her own life at 20. I also have a surprise daughter, at 10 years old. She is the outgoing, cheerleader, dancer, singer, and just an all around good kid. I also have 4 kitties. When hubby and I were over the road truckers as a team we got bored with each other after a year, so while on a layover in Lynchburg, Virginia we adopted a sweet personality, Baby. She is a short fat cat with a sweet disposition and full of love. Then a year later my sisters cat had babies and I wanted the white one. Kenny, short for Kentucky on his adoption papers, is a tall 19 lb baby. He is my dog trapped in a cats body. People think I am nuts cuz he is trained to go to bed when told, play fetch, he argues, he jumps on me like a dog, waits outside any door of the room I am in, wakes me up with a wet nose on my neck when the alarm goes off every morning, and sleeps on me ALL the time. Then some asshole abandons a tiny white kitty and put a milk crate on her so I put her in the truck also. Zoie is mean. She is pure white with an attitude that makes mine look good. And thats hard to do. And this summer after I left the road behind me, my sister in law found a small kitten under her house. When no mommy came to claim her she took it in and called me. I took her in a heartbeat. Jazzy is so spirited and wonderful. I have driven a truck since I was 26. Its who I am. And because of this profession, and it being a mans world, I am NOT one to take a mans bull. I will take on any man who challenges me in the job. Women have evolved and are some of the best truckers around. And don't even try to harrass me sexually as one sorry ass found out in Girard Ohio one evening. Amazing how men can talk crap behind a computer screen and a CB. I have a temper that has landed me in jail a couple times. Yes it was at my ex husband but the others I just never got caught. I will either be your best friend and have a heart of gold but when you piss me off trust me you will know it. My hubby used to get upset when I would get an attitude or whatever but as he got to know me he found I never spouted off til I was wronged, disrespected, or degraded. And my attitude about respect is so tight I can get results by being aggressively assertive. And finally one thing thats also not a good idea is talking crap about my weight or any other persons weight. Weight is not what makes me who I am. Weight is just a thing. If a heavier person than you has a heart of gold and treats people well THAT is what makes that person who they are. So probably don't wanna go there. This is me, my life, and what I am about.
