What are you waiting for?

In 1985, McCalister had it all. A wife who loved him, fresh out the academy, and an expert in his field. But as much as he has, the last several years have been nothing but brutal to him. His wife Regina has left him for another man, his ten year old daughter was murdered brutally, and all he has left is his job. McCalister devotes his life to his work and nothing else. The year is now 2005 and now McCalister is stricken with guilt over his daughter's murder. He's consumed to find the murderer. He works day & night. Everyone around him says he's a loner, McCalister calls it DETERMINATION. -Chapter 1- On a stormy night in the year 2005, McCalister lays in his bed in a cold sweat. He rarely sleeps here. Most of the time he's at his desk at the station. As he closes his eyes, an all to familar sound rings in his ears. *ring telephone* McCalister looks over at it and just lets out a sigh as he knows it's just a reminder of what he has grown accustomed to. He rolls out of bed and picks up the phone. "McCalister, talk!" McCalister says tiredly "Sir, it's me Micki. We've got a situation downtown and i advise you come down here." McCalister sighs, "Okay Micki i'll be there." Slamming down the phone, McCalister thinks to himself what he's about to see. In his career, he's seen alot from murders, to rapes, stabbings, and muggings so he's pretty much used to it all. McCalister gathers his stuff and heads toward the scene of the crime. Twenty minutes later, McCalister gets the the scene. What he spots ahead of him is a mass of cops, therapists, bystanders crying, and he thinks to himself that it's just a crime scene. What could be so bad about it. McCalister stops his car, gets out, and heads toward the building. A cop walks up to him. "You don't want to go in there. It's the worst thing i've seen, Sir." stammers the cop. McCalister casually steps to the side and continues his way in there and like any other crime scene, there's blood and gore all over but as McCalister enters the door, he freezes where he stands. There propped in the corner lay a body of a girl, no more than ten years old, mangled and gouged beyond recognition. In her tiny little hand, she's got a death grip on a blood stained teddy bear. In all his years, McCalister has been through alot and nothing has phased him. Not his father beating him, not all the crime scenes he's been to. Nothing. McCalister drops to his knees and cries. People around him have finally seen something that has made a man that they thought emotionless show emotion. Micki, his only true friend on the squad, comes up behind him and wraps her arm around him. "I really didn't know who else to call. I shouldn't have. I'm sorry," cries Micki. Micki looks at him, expecting some sort of response. For once she's scared of his silence for she has never seen him like this. "Micki, you want to know what scares me, it's this. Who would want to hurt this angel, this child." says McCalister crying and shaking. McCalister as silent as he his, stands to his feet, and leaves for once in his career, the emotion has gotten to him I've got more but my fingers are getting sore from typing. Hope you all enjoy
