MY ONE

A wild heart beats in my breast,

Longing to be tamed.

Waiting for One strong enough.

Waiting to be claimed.

A lonely wind blows through my soul.

I feel so incomplete.

The empty place within my heart,

Echoes with it's plea.

It yearns for One who's strong and bold,

Yet loving as can be.

One who'll take me to my heights,

And then set me free.

Free to feel his loving arms,

Catch me when i fall.

Free to answer with a smile,

To his gentle call.

One who'll whisper his command,

Sweetly in my ear.

One who's words caress my soul,

"Would you kneel for me, Dear?"

One who's hand is strong and firm,

Yet willing to caress.

What other answer could I give,

But a softly whispered, "YES"
