Sitting here remembering the first time we saw one another ...You were so afraid of me.Yet so very brave,as you proved time and time again.What a brave and delightful young man you were and still are to this day!!!
You didn't like me too much...Your Dad and I?...Well...we prayed.
You were always doing something to cause me and your Father worry...lol...But that is what children do and that is what parents do...worry...and Pray.
The day you put your head through a wall barely missing the door frame...we didn't know whether to spank you or laugh...we prayed...
Then we laughed...so very grateful that you didn't hurt the wall!!!...lol...okay that you hadn't hurt yourself...smiles...Your Dad and I asked why you did it and all you could say was "because it was there"!!!...We prayed.
Of course no parents heart could stop the way ours did when you dodged in front of a truck...The truck hit your back tire causing you to flip and land face down in the yard.AFTER we had told you not to cross in front of the truck ,that you could not make it in time.When we asked why you had disobyed us...? " Because he was there..."!!! Aye Dios Mio!!!
I was so scared!!!I found enough strength to pick you carry you inside...Again...should we spank you? Or laugh in relief? We prayed...Thank you Lord...Once again you were safe...
Then there was the day you made your Father chase you through town...getting drunk at your age...Shame on you!!!...LOL...If I had only known...boy oh boy!!!...lol...He prayed...
Surprise!!!...A young man comes walking in while I'm working...how handsome you looked in your new glasses!!!...smiles...You refused to wear them...We prayed...You relented...grin...
There have been so many times we have simply had to stop ourselves and remember to honestly pray....to allow God to completely have you and to be totally at His mercy...
Oh my loving son while I did not raise you at every turn...while you were not born from my body...(Your wonderful Mother had that complete joy along with her husband)...None-the-less you are my son and I love you very much...I am so proud of you...We both are very proud of you.
Once again this accident has caused your father and I to get down on our knees and to completely turn you over to God along with the prayers and well wishes of so many others.
Now you are 29,with a family of your own,we have watched you grow and change...Thank God it has been for the best...lol...But there you are...in that hospital bed...unable to move...this time with a broken neck...we are praying...
We have Faith,We Trust,We Hope,We Love,We Believe,We...Simply...Pray...
Update:At the time I finished this...Randy and I ( His Father...Some of you may remember White Nashoba)...Are packing to leave...Roy..his Son...is Stable and is able to move his fingers and toes...they are still holding off on surgery...So Far so Good...Many Huggz and Thanks for all the Prayers...
