If she only knew

This is very true for me. I have lived through this my whole life. I'm sorry that I bought you roses to tell you that I like you I'm sorry That I was raised with respect not to sleep with you when you were drunk I'm sorry That my body's not ripped enough to "satisfy" your wants I'm sorry that I open your car door, and pull out your chair like I was raised I'm sorry That I'm not cute enough to be "your guy" I'm sorry That I am actually nice; not an asshole I'm sorry I don't have a huge bank account to buy you expensive things I'm sorry I like to spend quality nights at home cuddling with you, instead of at a club I'm sorry I would rather make love to you then just f**k you like some random guy. I'm sorry That I am always the one you need to talk to, but never good enough to date I'm sorry That I always held your hair back when you threw up, and didn't get mad at you for puking in my car, but when we went out you went home with another guy I'm sorry That I am there to pick you up at 4am when your new man hit you and dropped you off in the middle of nowhere, but not good enough to listen to me when I need a friend I'm sorry If I start not being there, and being used as a door mat, only to be thrown to the side when the new asshole comes around I'm sorry If I don't answer my phone anymore when you call, to listen to you cry for hours, instead of getting a couple hours of sleep before work I'm sorry that you can't realize.. I've been the one all along. I'm sorry If you read this and know somebody like this but don't care But most of all I'm sorry For not being sorry anymore I'm sorry That you can't accept me for who I am I'm sorry I can never do anything right, and nothing that I do is good enough to make it in your world. I'm sorry I caught your bf with another girl and told you about it, I thought that was what friends were for... I'm sorry That I told you I LOVED YOU and actually meant it. I'm sorry That I talked to you for nine hours on Thanksgiving when your bf was threatening you instead of spending time with my family. I'm Sorry That i cared I'm sorry that I listen to you at night talk about how you wish you could have done something different. Ladies always bitch and bitch to their friends that there is never any good guys out there, and they always end up with assholes who mistreat them. Well ladies next time you're bitching, maybe look up to see who you're bitching to, maybe that special someone is right there hanging on your every word as usual, screaming in his head "Why won't you give me a chance?" Because the person you are usually searching for is right by you.

Being a mother

I read this on one of my friends blogs and it really hit home for me. Hope everyone who reads it enjoys it. After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, "I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you." The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally. That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. "What's wrong, are you well," she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news. "I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you," I responded. "Just the two of us." She thought about it for a moment, and then said, "I would like that very much." That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her u p I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's. "I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed," she said, as she got into the car. "They can't wait to hear about our meeting." We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. "It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small," she said. "Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favour," I responded. During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation- -nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you." I agreed. "How was your dinner date?" asked my wif e when I got home. "Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined," I answered. A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her. Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined. An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son." > At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: "I LOVE YOU" and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till "some other time." Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby.... somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, "normal" is history. Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct .... somebody never took a three-year-old shopping. Somebody said being a mother is boring .... somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit. Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good"....somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee. Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices .... somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbour's kitchen window. Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother... somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math. Somebody said you can' t love the second child as much as you love the first ... somebody doesn't have two children. Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books....somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears. Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labour and delivery....somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten .... or on a plane headed for military "boot camp." Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back ....somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies to sell cookies. Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married....somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in -law to a mother's heartstrings. Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home....somebody never had grandchildren. Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her.... somebody isn't a mother. Pass this along to all the "mothers " in your life and to everyone who ever had a mother. This isn't just about being a mother; it's about appreciating the people in your life while you have them....no matter who that person is.

Reposted for a friend!!

And so the time has come again, when love is passed between the friends, and nothing really matters here, as much as handshakes, hugs, and tears. So call a friend, and let them know, you love them and aren't scared to show, a deeper side, because you trust, that friends will overcome the lust, no money is worth the "Thanks" you get, from the love you give, I'll even bet, that if you showed more love today, you'd get more love in everyway... - Jamiel R. Allen I don't ask for much, but do me a favor. Since I'm not around a computer all day, because I can't be anymore. I don't have a computer of my own in my home... just repost my little poem a few times today. It's just for today... and it's just a favor. you can choose to ignore it, or spread it. but why ignore love...

Contests

Since I have been asked to delete a comment I have left someone in a contest, I will no longer be voting for anyone in a contest. I have way too many friends and I will not delete a comment I have given. To be asked to delete a comment is just plain rude. If you do not want to be friends with me because I will not vote for you then delete me off of your friends list.

To Someone Very Special

There is this person that I think about all the time, miss her all the time, and wish that we were together all the time. Our schedules a lot of times keep us from talking. This person is very special to me! I love her very much and I hold a dear place in my heart for her! You say long distance relationships never work, thats just not true. You say we live too far apart, if it is true love distance will never keep you apart from the one you love. I do not want to rush anything, I would like us to take our time and get to know each other very well. Then see where things lead to! Until we talk again, you will be on my mind and thoughts! If the person reads this, they will know I am talking about them. I hope you enjoy it when you read it!
