Words begin to fail me now,
But you never did.
You could always find me,
Even when I hid.
You knew what was wrong
Even when I wouldn't tell
You could always pick me up,
When I fell.
You tried your hardest,
When I would quit.
You stood behind me
When others chose to sit
You gave me light
When my world was dim
You made me feel like the flower
When I thought I was only the stem
You pulled me through things
When I thought I was done.
You made me feel like a winner
Even if I hadn't won.
You gave me strength
When I was weak
You was my voice
When I wouldn't speak
I always trusted you
Even when I didn't trust me.
When I felt locked down
You helped me feel free
When you got mad
Your love didn't change.
I never thought I'd be without you
This all feels so strange.
I remember when things got hard
And you would hold my hand.
You told me it was fine
And that you'd understand
I never thought you understood
But now I know I was wrong
You knew me better than anyone
And helped me stay strong
You will never be forgotten
You'll always remain in my heart,
With a love as strong as ours
We will never be apart
You always cared so much
Even about the little things
You was always my angel
And will one day have your wings
