I took back last weeks purchase, after being a bit disappointed in it performance.
Olympus FE46, 12mgpx, 5x opt zoom, image stabilization; slim pocket size, sturdy design, decent user interface....wont take a concert pic from shit. Soon as you touch the zoom you can forget focus.
Soooo, that bitch is out like a smothering gf.
Todays purchase, the Kodak Z915, 10mgpx, 10x opt zoom, auto-focus, and up to 1/2000 shutter spd, hi-def video.
Lil heavier, fatter, but if she treats me right, I'll let her stick around. It thinks a lil longer in between shots, but I dont mind that so much if what it produces gets me off. Fluff, shmuff, whatever; bottom line....... delivery/follow-thru.

Saw Queensryche for the 2nd time this yr at one of my fave local halls. Show was tight but seemed bout half the stage set was missing from the last, and they skipped over some very essential songs. Not sure what was up with that. Lita Ford was slate as the special guest, but actually didnt open up, she instead cameoed on a few tunes bout halfway thru the show. She dueted "Close My Eyes Forever" with Tate at one point.
Having been a musical figure here locally myself, occasionally I hit a gig that turns out to be quite a reunion of sorts. Last night was one of those. I couldnt walk ten feet without someone screaming "OMG!" and throwing arms out, or tossing up an elated high five. I had almost forgotten how good for the soul that was.
I bought a new camera Friday, an Olympus 12megapixel gem with alledged image stabilization that supposed to be the shit for action shots without blurring. But as it turns out, I am STILL in the market for a digi that will take crisp pix in low light for under 2 bones. I will be returning it Monday and researching further for a replacement. Im sick to death of taking 300 pix to get home and find I have 20 keepers at best, and not quick to call them even that.
If anyone has any reccomendations Id be glad to hear it.
