You are my brightest star, lighting my way in deepest dark.

Our souls shall be as one.

I am broken now; a broken soul, my broken life a bottomless hole, a shattered dream that gives me hope: the hope to one day find those who broke me, so that I may pay them back in kind. They hide in shadows, plotting and scheming, and all the while the streets are teeming with bodies piled up so high, they’ll swallow us whole and blot out the sky, like mountains of gold that bury the bloody conscience.

They shake your hand, and eye to eye, they smile broad to cover their lie, pretending you can’t feel the knife, the cold hard steel to end your life, pressed to your ribs like a lover’s lips, ready to steal your heart away. They took everything from me, so I will give them all that remains: my rage, my hate, my guilt, and my pain, my blood, my sweat, my deadly tears, so they may know what darkness fears. Like the scars earned from a misspent youth, my loaded gun will find its truth. Let the hammer fall.

Man is born, heartless by nature, a pitiful creature, save for one feature: he cannot be hurt. His heart is empty, a hollow thing we all would envy if only we knew what lay beyond the bloody dawn. It is only when he is given love that his heart is filled, that velvet glove which holds him up into the light, to carry him safely through the night. See him now, surrounded by family, and see his tender heart laid bare, but sever a man from his family, that which grounds him, that which loves him, that which holds him, that which gives him reason to live, and you remove his tender heart once more. But what you’ll find in its place is that which none would dare to face.

So feel my sorrow, feel my pain, Feel my blood like a crimson rain come to cleanse them of their sins. With nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and no place safe from my sight, like rats they scurry before the butcher’s knife. They’ll remember the man who begged them please, they’ll remember the man who, on his knees, begged them not to take his heart away. They severed the man, so I’ll sever them all, I’ll cut them down and watch them fall, make them pay for what they took with blunted blade and rusty hook, echoes of a broken life. Sever the man, sever his soul, sever all which made him whole, and even death will tremble in his wake.

Who cares how bad I'll hurt tomorrow, if you can take my pain away?

From the day we are born, we hit the ground running, fighting a war that was never our own.

Into the fray we are thrust, to rely on our cunning, paying for the sins of fathers unknown.

It is the way of the world that we are made to learn fast, faster still if we wish to thrive.

So dance 'tween the bullets, the grenades and bomb blasts, and fight for your right to survive.

In my dreams I see her face

My loneliness is at an end

Then I wake, and she is gone

The nightmare begins again
