Death Note

Well I went and saw the movie based off of my favorite animae show, Death Note. I was put off when I first heard of it because it is live action. But when it comes right down to it, the movie was pretty good. They of course changed a few things, but not that much really. The core basis of the story was in tact. Don't blame them really being the series is very long. I can't wait for the sequel.....Death Note: The Last Name Out of 10 I give this movie a 9!!!!! And as a last note...I WILL be looking for this on DVD!

Untraceable

This movie was actually better than I had previously thought. Acting was good, the story line was alright. It could have been better of course. ****Spoiler Alert!!!!!**** In the movie, about not even half way in, they reveal the identity of the killer to the audience. Not the motive though. I thought that it should have been kept secret longer. The movie itself kinda followed suit with the Saw movies in such a way that the people were tortured then killed. They were not however offered life as in Saw. But I think that it shouldn't have been let known so soon. This is basically how I think they should have wrote it: Starts out the same, killing small animals then moves on to bigger and better prey, humans. FBI looking for him, keep getting turned around, blah blah blah lol. Little by little we learn his motives until almost at the end where we learn why all of this has been happening. Then we see that all this killing, torture, planning, evasion, was all by a kid. Thus showing the cruelity of human nature. At that point it would have been like WTF it was a kid? The whole time everyone would think it was an adult, which statistics show that most, not all, but most serial killers are men in their late 20's to 30's. It would have been one hell of a shocker, but that's not the path they choose. Overall I liked this movie. I would give it an 8 out of 10.

Meet The Spartans

This had to be the dumbest movie I had ever seen. I did have high hopes for it. All of the previews I saw looked funny, unfortunatly those were the only funny parts. By the time I saw the movie I was numb to them. Over all the movie quality was awful, the story line sucked, and even for a so called comedy, it was the worse acting I ever saw. On a personal note, had Kevin Sorbo's acting career really fallen to this point, to do a movie such as this? I mean, my god even he sucked. I do not recommend this movie for viewing at all, unless you're looking for a reason to kill yourself but can bring yourself to do it. This movie will do it for you. The thing I couldn't belive is the people who cam to see this movie. I know the movie was rated PG-13, it should have been Rated R for it's sever sexual content. I am far from being a homophobe, but for kids as young as 4 this movie is highly inappropriate. There's a lot of potty humor, gay jokes, and damn near full nudity. Oh and guys making out. Not something for small children, but you wouldn't beleive how many was there. I give this movie 2 out of 10.

One Missed Call

Incase you don't know this movie is just another adaptation of a japanese film of the same name. The origional had been around for at least a couple of years, long enough that there is a sequel to it already. This new version was good, but as pretty much all adaptations it relies to much on special effects. Don't get me wrong, the story is strong and didn't change much in the switch over, but if you've seen the origional you'd know that it goes on more of suspense and thrill to keep you jumping. Also, this movie reminded me a lot of the ring. The first one not the crapy sequel. Overall it movie was ok, I would give it 6 out of 10. One good thing is it used a specific ring tone as a que in the movie. I now have it as my ringtone on my phone. lol

Cloverfield

I would say that it was well produced. The movie had a good story line and premise. I also like the fact that they didn't show the creature until later in the movie. It also had its funny moments. I know a lot of people were thinking this was another Godzilla movie, but let me set that straight right now. It was simular, but it was not Godzilla. One of the funny moments did refer kinda to Godzilla though, when they were running and an Asian guy who couldn't speak english was muttering something to them that sounded like "Godzilla". I thought it was interesting that it was told through the eyes of some of the survivors and they used a video camera all "blair witch" style. I'll warn all of you right now though, if you are prone to motion sickness DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!! The images jump around alot as the camcorder is thrown around while running, talking, falling, etc.... I'm not prone, but there were moments where I was getting a little dizzy and sick to my stomach. Over all it was a good movie, I would rate it a 7 out of 10.
