There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him. Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine. ' This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations. Life Is a Gift Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion. Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around. It is very easy to complain about the state of the world and point fingers, especially when you're having a bad day. A Note from Me 2 You……. As I acknowledge my past, present and future journey…. I realize now that It was set strategically for me…. As quiet, reserved and shy as I was growing up….. I am now just the opposite and always ready to erupt!.... My learning curves in life have been nothing short of a roller coaster ride… …but it's a ride that I would get on again and again as long as I continue to rise……. Take Me Home - Phil Collins This morning I was talking to a very good friend of mines who was struggling with some life impactful changes that she is being forced fed with, after our chat i realized that quite a few of my other friends on and offline are dealing with the fact that they might have to move, change careers, downgrade there standards of living, dealing with seperation from a loved one etc. All these things quite often send us into a panic attack! The objective is to emotionally train ourselves to focus in on our Desires and not our Fear for that is the direction our attitude will travel. Its real easy to fall into a depression but it takes work to maintain a positive ambitious and courageous attitude. The secret to happiness is not to get what you want, but to want what you already have. If you think about it, most discontent grows from want. We want more stuff, more excitement, more pleasure. When we don't get those things, we're resentful and unsatisfied. Take away the want, and you take away the unhappiness. When your quality of life is tied to your desires, fulfillment is a shadow that escapes your view. Like trying to imagine a new color, the harder you look, the harder it is to see. Does this mean you stop setting goals and striving for a healthy lifestyle and better life? No. It means you can appreciate life regardless of the outcome. It means you can relish the pursuit while accepting the possibility of failure. It means you can still enjoy the ride. Happiness is not a destination--it's a way of life...so those of you who are being challenged with making major changes in your life...GET TO THE WAY! Ya know each day is a new chance to find joy and to dance, play and joy life to its very fullest. If you let it pass or think its useless, the chance is gone and you'll never get it back. Let me ask you, when was the last time you played? Or just did something for the sheer fun of it? Joy is not found in the world around you, it's within yourself. You can make your own joy, especially during those dark times when you need to really feel alive again. Fun and play are healthy antidotes to taking life--and ourselves--too seriously. Or i guess you could simply "Dont do that!". Playing, dancing, singing and laughing are proven boosters of immune systems and mental health and honestly make life worth the trouble. So do the twist. So this is what they say about me.....hmmmm? for the most part I have to agree. The Leo man is often a happy individual...warm-hearted, devil-may-care and prone to be rather a show-off at times.
