I got painfully sick on Saturday (gory details intentionally omitted here). Since then, I have consumed very little food, just mostly gallons of water, broth, juice, etc. I went to the doctor today. He suspects I have kidney stones. He recommended a clear liquid diet for three days, and they'll do more tests on Friday. They tested my urine today, it was totally clear. The only thing in it was ketones (from not eating much). My symptoms do NOT point to a life-threatening condition.
I'm weak, tired, grumpy, hungry, my tummy aches, I can't think straight, and I'm more than a little bit mad (meaning both angry AND crazy). I was hoping he'd give me something to make me feel better so I could come home and chow down! Should I:
A: Just be a good girl and drink my f-ing gallon o' broth?
B: Go ahead and eat a little something now, and then start drinking my f-ing gallons o' broth tomorrow?
Third option: Be a total idiot and have a glass of white wine (hey! It's a clear liquid!) with my f-ing gallon o' broth and go to bed? |
