So I'm sitting here with the sound of the pressure canner jiggling along..mmmm venison..yum.
I got to thinking about meat. Why is it chickens, turkeys and oddly enough lambs are called by the animal name and others aren't?
ie. Could ya please pass the turkey?
Are baby cows (veal? no that doesn't sound anything like baby cow right?) cooler than baby sheep?
Is it a slight against Chickens/turkeys? Are the not as handsome as cows,pigs and various other tasty critters?
At my house I call all meat by the animal names, especially if there's guests. If it's possible to make a person a Vegetarian, I could do it. (More Meat for the Meat Eaters! [thanks Denis])

Oh and they love it when I offer them the infamous "Tree Rat". You can make the ole Tree rat wings..
try that sometime..it's really good, I will even allow you to use my wing sauce recipe that's in my stash.
OK.. enough running on the 'Sheep' for the day.
mmm....sheep are tasty too...especially the little lambs..:P
