Our Tax Dollars @ Hooking

Friday I took off from work to go to a doctors appointment when i got thru I met up with my Mom, and we went down to Coden to catch bait for fishing Saturday. When we arrived @ the site we would be catching bait there was a Mobile County Crew doing very little work " as usual " , but I mean to the point that half a dozen or so County workers had stopped working and walked out on the end of the concrete seawall and were fishing until they saw that we were watching them then it was a scamper to their trucks and they picked up their road signs and were leaving at a fairly fast rate and it was well after lunch time "1:30 p.m." Now do you wonder why it takes so long to get anything done by the County. I see it as Our tax dollars @ Hooking!

Where's the Media

this is too funny

> The Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, while visiting a primary school class, found themselves in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asked both men if they would like to lead the discussion of the word "tragedy". So the illustrious Rev. Jackson asks the class for an example of a "tragedy. " > > One little boy stood up and offered: "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a runaway tractor comes along and knocks him dead, that would be a tragedy." > > No," says the Great Jesse Jackson, "that would be an accident." > > A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy." > > I'm afraid not," explains the exalted Reverend Al. "That's what we would call a great loss." The room goes silent. No other children volunteer. > > Reverend Al searches the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?" > > Finally at the back of the room little Johnny raises his hand. In a stern voice he says: "If a plane carrying the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton were struck by a missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy." > > Fanta stic!" exclaims Jackson and Sharpton, "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?" > > "Well," says little Johnny, "because it sure as hell wouldn't be a great loss, and it probably wouldn't be an accident either."

Hello to all my Mobile Al friends. the Burkes outlet in the Festival center is closing this month, along with their already low clearance prices they are taking an additional 50 % off the total . We racked up on jackets and sweatshirts and a few other things . While women clothes are the bulk of whats in the store there are some mens and childrens too.
