Turf Rules

Do not attack turfed players unless they are on the hitlist. If someone attacks you let an officer know, but most likely they will already know about it, and will have handled the situation. Do not retaliate unless you have talked to an officer in the turf. One attack on anyone in a turf is expected. Three attacks on anyone in a turf is acceptable. Four attacks on a single turf member within an hour's time frame or hitting multiple mobsters in the same turf is considered provocative and retaliation should be expected. Unaffiliated mobsters are fair game, hit them as often as you like. Just be sure you aren’t messing with some power house mobster. Know your target, It is polite to accept their mob request if they send one but not required. Don't complain if they list you for milking.

Soldier Spots: To keep your soldier spot, you  must be active. That doesn’t mean bringing in huge bounties or running missions. This means  that you log in regularly to check on your mobsters, make sure they are alive and well, invest their money as appropriate to increase cashflow and generally try to improve your mobster. If you don’t log in for three days, you will lose it. We don't expect you to have the biggest and baddest mobster EVER but we do expect you to at least be fully mobbed. That is 5x your current level (ie: level 10, your usuable mob is 10x5=50, level 20 x 5= 100 and so on), usuable mob maxes out at 750 usable mobbies at level 150. Don't drop links in turfs and expect them to add you; you could just get listed for your troubles. Instead look on our turf board, each of the allies listed is a link, go to their turfs and send out mob requests. You usually get a hefty amount of the accepted within 24 hours. Also, please make sure to mob up with the turf memebers.

Lt's: Are to be respected in the turf. They have earned those spots by working hard; keeping the best interest of the turf above all, helping the turf to be strong, and our members enjoy the game. This doesn’t mean they are always right but there are ways to handle a difference of opinion, that doesn’t involve potty mouth and disrespect. Lts should step down if they don’t have the time to dedicate to regular play and defending the turf.

Rules for Retaliation

Rules for Retaliation:

A. Retaliation against mobsters who are members of 75+ turfs need to be approved by the Boss or the Underboss. Provoking these turfs in any way is prohibited. Backhands are inflammatory and basically serve two purposes. One is if you get your ass whooped and there is nothing you can do about it, one might backhand a bunch of times out of frustration. We like to call these “Temper Tantrums”. Backhands do not need to be addressed unless they are excessive so don’t get all jacked up about it. You have only lost a few points of health. Two is as a warning that perhaps you are hitting an ally. Just something to catch your attention. If a Lt. or above backhands you in our turf, they are trying to get your attention, please come to the meeting room and find out why.

B. We have members that monitor the feed through out the day looking for over hitting, friendly fire (hitting an allie) in either direction, and just generally watching out for our turf. We will be retaliating on your behalf. You might want to mention that you were over hit before you address it yourself because often we have already taken care of it for you. If we find you are retaliating on your own without asking what’s up, we will determine that you don’t help defending yourself and you will take care of it yourself when you get back on line. Double retaliation isn’t cool. This game is about Mafia Wars. That is what we signed up for. This means that sometimes we have skirmishes or issues with other turfs. Sometimes related to something that you did, or maybe something another person in the turf did. Sometimes you may be collateral damage in one of these skirmishes. This is also why it is important to ask if you saw that you got raped while you were gone. If we get into a nasty fight with someone and we resolve it then you come on and retaliate based on what you see in your feed, you could stir it all up again and get your teammates killed.

C. Hitlisting is prohibited unless done by a Lieutenant or above. If you feel someone is a candidate for hitlisting or you want to hitlist someone please talk to a Lt or above. Backhands as individual retaliation should be performed by a Lt. or above as well. If you feel your mobster is struggling to defend themselves or isn’t coming along as you hoped, talk to Madd Trker, and together we can look at what you are doing and see if there is a solution.

Bounty Hunting

Bounty Hunting:

The first thing you need to know, is that winning fights are not the name of the bounty hunting game. You PREFER to lose each fight! You do not need to do the MOST damage to win the bounty, you need to do the LAST bit of damage. It is important to stay as low level as possible for as long as you can, so you can fortify yourself for the next level. Each time you win a fight, that makes you 1 point closer to the next level. You will want to get your usable mob up to your level, and equip yourself with the best offensive equipment that you can buy. If you find that you are winning too often, you can either aim for only larger bounties or decrease your armor/vehicles (though this will make your attack a little bit weaker). You will want to have good defensive equipment as well, but only to protect your mobster from getting milked by a fighting mobster. The difference between a fighting mobster and a hunting mobster is where the skill points are placed when your mobster levels.

For levels 10-20, you will put them to stamina and health. Stamina allows you to continue to fight. There's nothing like running out of stamina while trying to bounty hunt and it usually happens when a big juicy bounty is up! So we want to make stamina high enough so we don't run out before we are done playing. Health. This one is tricky. As a hunter you want your health high. The amount of damage you do is partly dependent on how high your health is. If your health is high and you see yourself doing a lot of damage, then the mobster you are attacking has high health as well. If you find that your are doing very little damage, this is because the mobster you are attacking has low health. The downside to high health is that you can potentially be a target by turfs that like to milk mobsters for their cash, that have high health. High health gets more expensive as you level. The plus side is that you can do more damage and can potentially get more bounties to easily support this hospital cost.

An example of applying Skill Points:1) 5 pts stam (stam 8) 2) 5 pts stam (stam 13) 3) 5 pts stam (stam 18) 4) 100 pts health (health 200, stam 18) 5) 100 pts health (health 300, stam 18) 6) 100 pts health (health 400, stam 18) 7) 100 pts health (health 500, stam 18) 8) 5 pts stam (health 500, stam 23) 9) 100 pts health (health 600, stam 23) (sometime before lvl 10 you will finish a diam msn or two and get additional pts, these can be put into health/stam/atk as you wish) 10) 5 pts stam (health 600, stam 28) 11) 100 pts health (health 700, stam 28) 12) 100 pts health (health 800, stam 28) 13) 100 pts health (health 900, stam 28) 14) 100 pts health (health 1000, stam 28) 15) 5 pts stam, (health 1000, stam 33) 16) From here it depends on how you want to build, you can keep pumping health/stam or can put pts into atk. 17) Now you want to start pumping pts into energy to get your energy to 300 at least to do missions. Then go back to atk/stam/health. For levels 30-40 you want to concentrate your points between energy, attack, and some defense.

Now that you are set up, how do you bounty hunt you ask? First you need a good rendered or refresh speed, to make sure you will see the bounties come up every bit as fast as everyone else. If you go to the hitlist screen and scroll to the very bottom, you will see something that looks like: home.php' rendered in 0.1601 seconds on machine '230'. The lower the rendered number, the faster the screen is refreshing. If you get a crappy render time, the way to change this is to click your Mafia home, then click hitlist again and check the speed again. Continue to do this until you feel you have about as good as there is at the moment. If you find that you aren't seeing much or not getting many hits in, you might change again even if the rendered number is not lower than the one you were just on.  I think that the machines in the 180 range are pretty good.

You want to be sure you have money in the bank, as you can only heal with "laundered" money. So if you see the message "you can't afford to heal", you need more money in your bank. You want to choose the hospital or "hossie" that is most appropriate for your health size. IE. if your health is 200, your choices are the 100 point hospital or the 25. You want the highest hossie you can use so that you can heal quickly and keep moving. If that hospital is closed, then you need to make a different choice. To see your choices, if you go to the hospital screen and then click "change hospital" it shows you all of the "hossies", which are open, which are password protected and which are closed. Sometimes you can get the password if you ask nicely and they know you aren't riding the hitlist. There are a couple of quick keys: Ctrl/shift/L takes you to the hitlist. Ctrl/shift/H heals you without having to leave the hitlist. Hold down Ctrl/Shift then H to get maximum quick health. (This works on computers, but on touch-screen tablets and smartphones, not so much.)
When looking at the hitlist, it will show who is listed, by whom, how long ago, and for how much. They start out with the button saying "wait". Bounties can show ready to attack right away or can take up to 5 minutes. So you watch the list. Sometimes it will turn yellow and say "chance". If you strike at that time, there is a "chance" that you will get first strike, or there is a chance it will say you must wait and you have wasted a few valuable seconds where someone else might get hits in instead. It's up to you, as you work the list you will find what is comfortable for you. If it says fight, click it and look up top immediately, it will say you are attacking someone, someone else is fighting them, or they are no longer on the list. If you get a hit in or someone else is fighting them, you just click that fight button like crazy fast because you want to be the next one to get a shot in. You can't win the bounty if you don't get shots in. So don't get frustrated if you don't get the bounty, getting shots in means you are doing it correctly. It is a very fast paced play portion of this game. When it says they are no longer on the list, check your health, and move on to the next target. If you see that someone is on the list for more than five minutes and you have hit them a bunch of times but they are not dying, they most likely are doing that on purpose. They buy health to stay on the list, either to be annoying, to get their win statistics up, or to get their bulletproof badge (when you manage to stay on the list and not die for 1 hour). So you might just determine that is what they are doing and move on to a more ready to die mobster. Once they are on over an hour, they usually drop. At 1 hour 10 minutes, they will no longer be able to buy health. If you get a bounty that is more than $10,000,000,000, copy it from the feed and put it in the bosses email, we post those on our turf wall and have a friendly contest every week, so we can tell you how much you have earned for the week! It is about besting yourself, not necessarily other people. Some people like to have multiple windows open when they play. Some do one with the hitlist and one with the turf room so they can keep track of everything going on. Some like to have multiple hitlist screens open to see which ones are refreshing (targets show up) faster. That part is entirely up to you! You can even experiment with different browsers (like Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.), you might find that one browser works better than another for the hitlist.

IMPORTANT: The reason you are bounty hunting is for the money!! You need to invest in property in stacks (quantities) of 10. Each time you make a purchase you can buy 1-10 at a time. However many you buy, once the purchase is made, the price goes up! Best to get the most you can at the sale price. So if you get a bodacious bounty, be sure to look and see what the best property you can buy in quantities of 10 is. If you have any questions please feel free to ask the boss, or any of the turf members that are online and we'll be glad to help you as much as we can.

Mob

Mob: These are not a collection of your closest friends and neighbors. You don't need to know the mobster and their level doesn't matter in the game. A level 1 mobster helps you exactly the same as a level 1000 mobster as a member of your mob. You get 5 mobbies per level to help you when you attack or defend. Your mob size is on the same line on the mafia tool bar as your rating (some people call this level). So for example, at level 1: 1 x 5 = 5 mobbies. At level 2: 2 x 5 = 10. This continues until you reach level 150, then your maximum useable mob is 750. You have the capacity to hold 1000 mbbies. Just understand, useable mob is 5x your current rating. This also allows plenty of room to have our turf as well as family/allies/friendly turf members in your mob. Once you have someone in your mob, if you were to go to their mobster, the backhand, hitlist, fight buttons are all removed. This helps prevent accidental attacks on those that have our back. So while any mobster will do, you can see how it is much more effective to have mobbies from your   turf/family/allies/friendlies. This does not eliminate your ability to kill them on the hitlist, and it doesn't violate a turf rule or an allied agreement to kill someone on the hitlist.

How to mob up:  If you hover over any mobster's name, a screen opens up that lets us see a little more about this mobster such as their rating, their rank in the turf, and where they are turfed if they are in a turf. It also will have one of two red buttons available to click. One says "send mob request", the other will say "kick out of mob!". DO NOT click this one, that means they are already in your mob! If you see the "send mob request" when hovering over a mobsters' name then you will want to click this button once, it will send the request to that mobster only one time unless they reject your request. The Mob All button has been added at the top of the turf if you are a member of any turf, so it is very easy to send a request to the whole turf at once, then be patient as people come online they will add you if they have room. If you hit that button every day it is not going to get you more mob or get you mob quicker. If you look at the turf wall, If you click the yellow plus/minus symbols at the top of the turf wall, it will open up the turf wall. Each of the family/allied/friendly turfs are listed in the private section. Each name is a link that will take you to that turf. DO NOT drop a line in the room asking for them to add you. This is lazy, you can send out the mob requests individually to each person in that turf. This is boring, absolutely, but it is quick and it is easy. You can add a good portion of our allies in a 30 minute time frame. If you can contact someone in one of those turfs that is a Lt or above, they will often let you come in and hit the mob all button. Don't assume they will let you, this isn't a pre-arrangement. If they are available and agree, you would cancel out of our turf, request to theirs, hit the mob all button, thank them nicely, cancel out of their turf and come back to ours to request again. Another place to get mob if you aren't getting enough or getting them quickly enough is to pop into the e-turf and hit the mob all button. You do not have to get permission to do that, you just have to be accepted into the eturf. If you have any questions about how to obtain mob, then please feel free to send any of the officers a msg in the turf or in their sb. Otherwise, just keep adding mob until you reach at least 750 mob, and then make sure to add a little more to help from going below 750 mob if people decide to quit, or gets deleted by fumafia staff. Which does happen often.
