Music
Well, there's my own, which I guess could be described as eccentric singer/songwriter stuff, but music has always been a large part of my life, so I have a LONG list of favorite artists. My favorite songwriters are Ray Davies, John Lennon, Margo Guryan, and Syd Barrett. Favorite guitarists are Michael Bloomfield, Tom Verlaine, Richard Thompson and Jeff Beck. Favorite non-guitarist musician is Andy Statman. Other people who I like enough to mention are Mary Weiss, Shane Faubert, John Fahey, AMM, Mad Violets, Captain Beefheart, Mike Nesmith, The Monks... The list could go on forever. I don't listen to too much current music, but I'm a huge fan of Scout Niblett.
