Remember when you felt that first rush
that first sensation of anticipation and
you heart felt like a thousand fireworks were going off inside your chest.
How anxious you were just to have it happen
and how you dreaded it all at the same time.
how badly you wanted that first taste of love.
Yet were not sure you were going to get all that you had dreamed about.
Then suddenly, without warning, it happened,
his lips found yours in a brush so quick and soft,
almost as though they were feathers blowing in a wind of childhood and little girl dreams.
Knowing that no matter what happened or where you went from here this moment was forever etched into your psyche. Creating a space in time where you could always go.
A place where you were loved if only in that moment,
beautiful, if only to that person,
wanted, if only for that time,
and never to have that feeling again no matter how many more kisses you receive in life.
None will ever be as sweet, nor as memorable as the threshold you crossed in that moment in time forever ago.
