I always hate the "about me" sections, especially if I've already listed out a lot of my interests, and then there's factor of trying to describe myself and put it all into a box.
The highlights are I'm an IT guy, I'm the CTO for one company and "Online Marketing and Code Guru" for another. That's the main reason I'm online so much.
Music is a big part of my life and I enjoy my movies as well so you might want to take a peak at those sections.
What I'm looking for right now is friends and activity partners. Can't say later it may not be me looking for more but right now I've spent a lot of time isolating myself from my old social circle because of work and my previous relationship that I've neglected my own social appetite. When it comes to friends, I'm just hoping to find some like minded people, local or otherwise, who I can talk with. If you're local then I'm a big fan of just hanging out at a coffee shop and having conversation (but I also enjoy going to the club and out on the town). If your not, I do plan on traveling again at some point but am always up for just fun and/or thoughtful conversation online.
I do have pretty much every messenger and skype, so if we get to talking and it turns out well, I have no problem sharing that information if it is requested.

Interests
I'm a man of simple taste at times. I can enjoy just driving around without direct, or sitting at a coffee shop with friends and good conversation. I can spend a night in with a movie, show, or game just as easily as spend a night on the town. However when I do get out on the town I love to dance and just have fun. When you let yourself get caught up in a good night it can be a blissful high that carries you through the work week.
I have other assorted interest, such as I do Cosplay. I've been to DragonCon many times and plan on going back again, however this year I'm trying to organize Comic-Con San Diego and NY with a friend.
I also like to write, read, sing, video and audio editting/mastering, and anything else that may particular strike my interest at the moment.
Music
Since I have an incredibly broad taste in music I like at least a little bit of everything. However this is probably what gets played the most.
Wolfsheim, Beborn Beton, Apoptygma Berzerk, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Breaking Benjamin, AFI, Nickelback, Godsmack, Placebo, Clan of Xymox, LadyTron, Bad Religion, Clan of Xymox, The Church, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Evanescense, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, The Mission, Peter Murphy, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Live, Alice in Chains, Stabbing Westward, Staind, and the list goes on and on.
I used to DJ an 80s night and some events so my taste just seem to expand onwards from there, but my roots have always been in 80s new wave, early goth, and hair metal, 90s (heavy focus on alternative, contemporary, and darkwave), and just continues to expand. For me if a song has either a good flow (good guitar or good bass line that pulls it together) or just powerful lyrics it will stick with me.
I also play a little myself. While I claim no expertise, I have been lead in a few bands and wrote most of our lyrics. I have familiarized myself with playing guitar, bass, and keyboard. Currently I'm working on drums and violin (with some difficulty).
Movies
Tastes are pretty expansive here as well. I've got a good collection that spans from 80s and 90s comedies, dramas, action, and horror to current releases with sections devoted to Asian Horror, Anime, and some TV series.
Movies: Boondock Saints, The Crow, Sweeney Todd, Dream for an Insomniac, Oldboy, Attack the Gas Station, Cemetary Man, Daywatch, Nightwatch, almost everything from Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Clerks II, etc...), Short Circuit, Gremlins, Watchmen, Repo: The Genetic Opera, Transformers (1 and 2), just to name some.
TV/Series: Babylon 5, Star Trek (The Next Generation, DS9, and Voyager), Chuck, Heroes, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Robin Hood (BBC), Supernatural, Smallville, The Big Bang Theory, White Collar, House, Dollhouse, Birds of Prey, Eureka, Bones
Anime: I'm still expanding this area but Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Wolfs Rain, Scryed, Devil May Cry, Ghost in the Shell, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Witchblade, Death Note
Idols
There are several musicians I look up to, like Dave Gahan, Gavin Rossdale, Maynard James Keenan, Rob Thomas, Benjamin Burnley, and a few more. The reasons vary but for the most part it's either an admiration of their stage presence, the way they sound, or the music/lyrics they produce.
I have some writers I admire, like Neil Gaiman, Brent Weeks, James O'Barr, and Terry Pratchett. All of which have written great tales that I have lost myself in more than once.
Because of my work and my dreams I admire anyone who is willing to take a chance and try to find what they love to do and make a living out of it.
Video Games
My interest in games is similar to my music, it's varied. I play some FPS games (like Combat Arms and Counter Strike, Bio Shock, Modern Warfare, etc...), RPGs (Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, etc...), and I even play Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Also have gotten into playing 1 MMORPG (Star Trek Online). It's more there to be able to socially play with some friends out of state though.
