| i'm getting mixed feelings on this subject and would like to know what you would have done if this happened to you. my mom was told on the 8th that she was having surgery on her cellulitis on the 11th and was given a 20% chance of surviving the surgery. i wanted to be with her and was told by my boss that if i went to iowa to be with my mom i'd be fired (miss one day your fired personal day policy). but if i waited for her to die i could get three days off from work. would you quit your job and tell your mom you love her in person for the last time(btw she made it through and is out of ICU already) or keep working for the man and wonder what if? ( i quit and i'm getting rehired back next week.) |
