I went today for my appointment at the wound care center. Basically what they think is happening is that the skin is growing over the wound, faster than the wound can heal. Then my body is killing the new skin growth. So what happened today is they gave me 6 shots directly in the wound, after giving me some of that wonderful, I don't give a fuck laughing gas, they surgically removed the skin in that area. Then they gave me some type of treatment that was supposed to soothe the pain. I'm still waiting for the soothing. The great part of this is that I have to start going twice a week and having this surgery process done. Yes, I am in serious pain. Yes, I may turn bitchy very quickly. But the biggest yes is that you all have been great in asking about me and keeping up with what's been going on.
Just a reminder.....if you don't have a tattoo yet, and you're considering getting one....please have just a small test area done of the colors you will use and wait 48 hours before getting the actual tattoo. That will let you know if you're allergic to the ink and save you 4 years of the hell I've been fighting.
