Ever have one of those days? Today was one of the worst kiting days for me EVER!!! I wish I knew what the words "Give Up" meant, because if I was ever to quit in the middle of something, this would have been the time & place. The winds were steady at work, but when I hit the beach, they were very gusty to weak..BUUUUUUT I thought, since I'm here I'll try anyway. I'm such a Dumb Ass. I lauched, but then it would drop like a bag of cement. I would launch again...another bag of cement. Did I quit....hell no. AGAIN...I'm a dumb ass. I get out in the water...dead city & can you say....kite & line inversion....UGH. And yet AGAIN...I"m a dumb ass. To a fault...I'm not a quitter, but yes...I'm a dumb ass.

> My lines are in a friggin bird's nest, & not sure how that happened, except possibly when the damn wind would just die...then the kite would invert on itself when it crashed. Water Starts from Hell. Gusts City. I was really wishing I had a Cabrinah or some other bow or hybrid kite....UGH.

> Well, I got my Steering lines undone, but my other three are somehow screwed. I'm cut up to hell because when it crashed, the lines got caught on something floating in the water, so I had to pull my self to the kite using the 5th line. Well, the other lines hooked up on something, then when I went to untangle them I got pulled into something sharp...My face got cut, my chest got cut, my forearms & wrist got cut, & my shins got cut. No worries....Kite survived...more important anyway :-)

> I swam back, because the lines were a birds nest by then, so water re-start did not exist at that point, & the sunlight was going away. To end the day... I had to walk back in the dark, & walked into some sticker things. You know the type, they look like miniature tumbleweeds, except they are all prickly... So, after packing all the kit up, I spent the rest of the time sitting in my car pulling stickers off my feet.
