This whole San Bruno gas explosion brought something to my attention. Nearly all our infrastructure was installed by our Baby Boomer generation. Which if you watch enough news these are the people crying about getting older, and really are the reason for our Social Security problem. Well if their getting older wouldn't that mean that pretty much every highway and pipeline system is also. When Pres. Obama started the reinvestment act, thats what it means, to reinvest. The stimulus packages are being stolen by those who oppose them aka Republicans or (Baby Boomers who don't know how to sit their asses down and retire.) Our Country is falling apart at the seams. There are jobs out there that can be created if the people who say they are all about America would just actually be for America. Instead they(Republicans) would tell You that the current administration is spending too much money and making Big Government. When it was the Republicans that created Bills like the patriot act which actually allowed the Government to come into our homes and businesses. Thats what I call big government. Everyone was angry about the bank bail outs but think of all the assets these big banks hold. What would have happened to them if the banks went under. Pres. Obama is nothing more than the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dyke(hehe). It is our duty as citizen to save our country. Education and infrastructure should be at the top of the list. Look at the recent floods in Pakistan. They cry to us for help, but if they would have invested a little money into their infrastructure instead of nuclear weapons maybe they wouldn't need so much help. We are suppose to be the greatest nation on Earth. But we have just as many homeless,and starving as anyone else. We have focused on money and ourselves, but we still try to say we are christian. Our values have been destroyed not by outside influences but from the evil with in(greed and selfishness). The only way to rebuild what use to be America is not just through the voting process but in our own homes. Believe that every decision you make is the most important one. Treat your children as if(which they are) the most important gift and task God has given. And kiss the one you love everyday as if the next moment they will be gone. rebuild our homes and then E Plurabus Unum will begin to take shape. A nation can only be a nation with one people. This is America. There is no such a thing as Irish American, Jewish American, Italian American, or African American.There is only American. This country was not built by whites, or blacks, Spanish, or British. It was built by US. You know the first two letters in U.S.A. . Hate has no place here. If you see someone as different and think that they don't belong here, well that just means you are the one that is out of place. So, when you go to vote this fall, don't just think of your own table. Try and put yourself in the shoes of the soldier who wants to spend Christmas with their family. Actually try and think of the Mexican who just wants to earn a living and live the American dream too. The Muslim who had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 and just wants to pray and worship like any Jew or Christian, and the homosexual who just wants to live their own life the way they choose to. Think of others before you think of yourself and your own beliefs. If someone suffers because of the way you believe," How righteous can that actually be?"
