hmmm.... ok i doubt anyone reads these anyways.... so im just gonna rant for a few minutes... LOL! ok so on tuesday and wednesday a few members of my volunteer group and I went to the skytrain station and handed out 1,000 flyers...in about an hour and a half of our own time not to mention the fact that flyers arent cheap and that has to come out of someones pocket! so all these people who took the flyers were all for our rally that we were holding thursday... everyone was all for 24 hour security brought to the skytrain station and more lighting brought in to our city so that we can all feel safer walkin down some of the streets in our community and have more police presence in the bad neighbour hoods!!!so why did those people not come and help support us, how are we going to get the attention from our city officials if no one makes a big enough effort and take control of the situation. do you think if you close your eyes the problems are going to go away... no im sorry they are only going to get worse... people have already been beaten to death there and there is way to much homelessness here.... and they say by 2010 its only going to be worse (ya because the stupid olympics are coming here) so vancouver is going to round up all their homeless ppl and dump them into my neighbourhoods!! thanks a lot guys! so to those who showed up at our rally i thank you. to those who took flyers and didnt come and chose not to support us due to their own reasons... get off your ass and take a stand for your own life... do you need someone to cut up and pre chew your food for you? no i didnt think so, so why cant you help, all we asked for was ppl to show up and walk with us. but no ppl are too busy with their lives and too busy wrapped up in their own heads to help out.so i hope one day you have to live in someone elses shoes for a change.. think about someone else besides yourself for a change. and to the news thanks for coming to the event but a 1 or 2 minute clip on the air that didnt even cover what the problems are and what we are trying to achieve what was the point? but ya.... i just had to rant for a few minutes i felt frustrated for sometime with this. so if anyone actually does read my ramblings please look at my pictures and rate the one that has a caption under it that says not just a pretty face.... and leave a comment to show support. that ppl out there do actually care.
