American Idol runner up Clay Aiken has put an end to rumours of his sexuality after he was spotted in an LA restaurant with a sexy Mexican TV star. Aiken, is claiming though that he and Dora the Explorer are just good friends. Spicy hot Latina Dora and Aiken arrived at a downtown Pizza Hut on Sunday night - and were swarmed with waiting paparazzi who it appears were tipped off about the couples date. "They shared a pizza and two cokes" said waitress Tina Titwank "It came to $12.99 and Clay paid for it - they were very cosy." The news of the date couldn't come at a better time for Aiken - he has recently been the target of accusations that he could be gay. Some observers though are sceptical. "Its all a little convenient if you ask me. Sounds like the work of a publicist" said gossip columnist Perez Nosybastard "I mean he suddenly, out of nowhere, ends up on a date with the hottest star out there? Come on. One of them is a one dimensional character, formatted for pre-schoolers who dresses like a prepubescent little girl and has a funny sized head. The other is Dora the Explorer." We tracked Aiken down to his Hollywood mansion where the door was answered by a topless man who called himself 'Steve'. He told us "Clay's lying down - we, I mean he, had a heavy night" said the inappropriately dressed butler before he minced back inside the pink painted house.
Former Tennessee Senator and Republican Presidential pipe-dreamer Fred Thompson announced today that he is dropping out of the race for the party's nomination and has signed on to play the son of Sylvester Stallone's Rambo in next year's Rambo V: Rambo vs Alien and Predator, and maybe Jaws. Thompson says he was handpicked for the role by Stallone, who will write, direct, star and cater the project. "Sly felt I was perfect for the role due to our similar physiques, and he felt that with my rugged good looks, the audience would easily buy into the idea that I am his son," Thompson explained. According to Thompson, if the movie is successful Stallone plans to write him a role as an up-and-coming young boxer in the next installment in the wildly successful 'Rocky' franchise.
Damian Prendergast 22 January, 2008 Last April popular Nagasaki mayor Iccho Ito was shot twice in the back by Tetsuya Shiroo, an alleged member of the Yamaguchi-gumi crime syndicate. The Mayor was purportedly killed for refusing to grant a soft government loan to one of the assassin's associates. Mr Shiroo has apologized in court, Agence France-Presse reports. The ganster pledged to atone for his loss of face through ritual disemboweling, but did not specify who. Defence lawyers claim the shooting was accidental, and that the defendant is not likely to re-offend. They dispute the details of a subsequent attempt to shoot Mayor Ito's ashes. Mr Shiroo offered to demonstrate his sincerity to the court by cutting off the judge's fingers.

Stupid British Laws

Tue Nov 6, 2:19 PM ET LONDON (AFP) - Queen Elizabeth II's speech in the British parliament Tuesday may have been routine but at least nobody got bored to death. That would have been against the law. Dying in parliament is an offence and is also by far the most absurd law in Britain, according to a survey of nearly 4,000 people by a television channel showing a legal drama series. And though the lords were clad in their red and white ermine cloaks and ambassadors from around the world wore colorful national costumes, at least nobody turned up in a suit of armor. Illegal. Other rules deemed utterly stupid included one that permits a pregnant woman to urinate in a policeman's hat and murdering bow-and-arrow-carrying Scotsmen within the city walls of York, northern England. A law stating that in Liverpool, only a clerk in a tropical fish store is allowed to be publicly topless, was also ridiculous, said a poll of 3,931 people for UKTV Gold television out Tuesday. Nearly half of those surveyed admitted to breaking the ban on eating mince pies on Christmas Day, which dates back to the 17th century and was originally designed to outlaw gluttony during the rule of the Puritan Oliver Crowmell. The laws and other regulations were culled from published research into ancient legislation that has never been repealed although subsequent statutes have rendered them obsolete. Respondents were given a shortlist and asked to vote. Most ridiculous British law: 1. It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament (27 percent) 2. It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch upside-down (seven percent) 3. In Liverpool, it is illegal for a woman to be topless except as a clerk in a tropical fish store (six percent) 4. Mince pies cannot be eaten on Christmas Day (five percent) 5. In Scotland, if someone knocks on your door and requires the use of your toilet, you must let them enter (four percent) 6. A pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants, including in a policeman's helmet (four percent) 7. The head of any dead whale found on the British coast automatically becomes the property of the king, and the tail of the queen (3.5 percent) 8. It is illegal to avoid telling the tax man anything you do not want him to know, but legal not to tell him information you do not mind him knowing (three percent) 9. It is illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament in a suit of amour (three percent) 10. In the city of York it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow (two percent)
SMYRNA, Tenn. - A man who authorities say used his computer to make fake $100 bills to buy lap dances at a strip club has pleaded guilty to counterfeiting charges, federal prosecutors said. Strippers at Deja Vu in Nashville were suspicious of the bills and called police after Damon Armagost spent $600 of the fake money April 16, authorities said. When officers arrived, Armagost first told them he got the money when he sold gold coins for $1,400 to an unidentified person. U.S. Secret Service agents later determined that counterfeit bills with the same serial number had been passed in other parts of the country. When they went to Armagost's Smyrna home, about 20 miles southeast of Nashville, a family member told agents that an image of a $100 bill had been on a computer there. Armagost then acknowledged that he had downloaded the image from the Internet and printed 14 of the bills, prosecutors said. He pleaded guilty Friday to manufacturing and passing counterfeit currency and has a sentencing date of Nov. 5.
