What are you waiting for?

What I am saying is I listen to the radio here everyday at work... 1 station woo woo... I am in Naknek Alaska... not much to choose from but at least it is Public Radio... So anyway one of the many topics today (09-11-07) Was this "How long do we remember and take moments of mourning for the 9-11 attack?" OMG! I couldn't believe it... I say how long do we remember July 4, 1776? or December 7, 1942 or the last weekend of May? or January 15 or any other day that commerates when a Nation changes it's view and way it interacts within it's own borders or the world. I will remember the Horror I witnessed On this day 6 years ago... I will remember it until I have no memory, until I die. I will always mourn for the victims and thier families. And I say that is how long "we" as a nation should observe the memory of this day... until "we" The United States of America has no memory for we have all died... Remember until there are no more Americans (present and future) Now I realize and know life will go on for each one of us. But are we so jaded and have such short attentions that some question "How Long?" Well here on fubar... and among my friends family and peers (here and in RL) I have seen that this is not the case... I see "we" will NEVER FORGET. I know I won't. Nor will I ever forget to take some time and think about these Americans whos only crime was being American....

Thank You Soldiers

09-11-07 I sit here in my insulated little hut... I am watching CNN, And absorbing the day remembering all those who have fallen... civilian and military 2nd Brigade has lost 53 soldiers in Iraq. I don't know 53 men or women, who I would risk my life for.... I know 3 men, and 3 women not including my family. These 53 soldiers died for me, I know this. I know they men died for America. I know these men died for you. I sit here today crying for the victims and thier families who UNVOLUNTARILY sacrificed thier lives (yes it was a sacrifice, because they died for being Americans) these and all of our troops, men and women fighting for so many things, for so many reasons of thier own. But above all risking and giving thier lives for the American beliefs of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I DON'T agree with all things that other Americans do, believe, or are. Yet, I and Our soldiers are willing and they do die everyday for everyone of those rights we.... take for granted as our entitlement, our birthright. Let us not ever forget that people, fellow Citizens, with the same entitlement and birthrights (inalienable rights), Have and continue to die for our American rights and freedoms. Thank them and remember them so that thier sacrifices are not in vain.
