Hello friends, im sure your all tired of hearing about my problems but because i made a mumm a couple nights ago and had some of ya'll worried id figured id give ya another update. My mumm was about complications i was having since coming home such as excessive drainage and extreme loss of blood as well as very high fever nausea and a slight odor coming from the surgical sight. I was very worried about infection but im happy to say as of right now that isnt a worry.
So you dont all think im stupid i did call the 24 hr emergency line before making my mumm and the nurse basically told me all this was normal and going to the ER would be silly due to the fact it was Christmas eve. Im aware this nurse was just being a lazy cunt and needs to be fired, im in the process of making a complaint. However allow me to remind you the hospital i had my surgery and stay is over an hr away and so id be going to the local ER.
Ok that said i did take Seamus's advice and had a very early Christmas with the girls and then off to the local ER. Well they admitted me on site and i got some good and bad news. The drainage and blood loss was due to a couple of my staples coming undone, the high fever and nausea they claimed was from all the medicine ive been on as well as all the blood loss. They said the odor was coming from my wound being opened. So with hesitation ( apparently doctors dont like working on things other doctors have done ) they closed my wound back up, cleaned it and re bandaged me. They kept me doped up and on an antibiotic iv all night just as a precaution and so after spending Christmas in the hospital and promising to stay in bed they released me this afternoon. My doctor himself moved my post op appt to Monday, so plz once again i ask that you keep me in your prayers and forgive me if i dont make much sense.
