| As I sit here thinking of those that have gone before me. I can't help but wonder will I return home draped in the Stars and Stripes or will I return only to find my life changed forever? As most of you know I am in the Army National Guard and I will be deploying after boot camp and AIT. I think of my fellow brothers and sisters in arms and their safe return home. I know they will do the same for me when I am there and they are here in the States. Most of you don't know the fear we soldiers have of being deployed. Some of you ever say that we are murderers. Well that is your right and I will fight for that right and I will die for it if I have to. Will this war ever end? Will we have PEACE? I don't know but I will fight for PEACE and for the American way of life for I am An American Soldier!! And if I die I want to be remembered as a soldier. I care not for the fame, I care not for the pain. I took an oath and I plan on keeping it. I hope all of you can support my fellow soldiers and I. WE need it. WE stand ready, We stand tall and We stand strong. Next time you see a soldier just say thank you if nothing else thats all they need. |
