Is it me...or do the little things not mean anything to anyone anymore? My oldest daughter and I were just talkin about what she wants for Christmas and she said she wanted to do something big for me...I mean it's a sweet thought but I had to explain to her...that "something big" wouldnt mean as much to me as the little things she does. Hearin "I love you Momma" on her way out the door to the bus stop in the mornings means more to me than anything else she could ever do. Nothing she could buy for me at the store is ever going to mean as much to me as the coffee can she painted for me for Mother's Day that has been sitting on my desk for the last 4 years. And the way Kitty snuggles up to me when she's tired makes any bad mood go away, even if it's just for a lil bit. And when she gets in trouble and gets me SO fustrated...but looks up at me with those big blue eyes and smiles...how can I stay mad? lmao And it's not just the little things kids do. Rolling over in the middle of the night and feeling the man your laying next to brush the hair out of your face...I mean come on...that one small gesture says more than anything he could do or say while your both fully awake. Or having your older brother look at you with so much pride and tell you your an amazing Mom and what a beautiful person you grew up to be...kind makes up for all the times he beat you up as a kid LMAO!
