Gecko House Party: Halloween!
From the producers of all the great Gecko House events comes a new and exciting installment to the legendary Gecko parties: Gecko Halloween! When: Saturday, November 3rd, 9:00ish on… Where: Gecko House 217 N Cedar St Greensboro, NC 27401 (336) 558-1766 What: Halloween and 5th of November Party! Who: Everyone! Why: Because things need to be smashed with sledgehammers while wearing costumes! Here we go again folks… It’s Halloween and the 5th of November! This year I’m pleased to announce that the neighborhood at large is also planning parties to make this a semi-block event. The Gecko House will bring you all the things you’ve always loved about our parties, such as trampoline fun, shed roof access, drunken debauchery and crazy, fun loving people. The boffer swords for both on and off the trampoline have been repaired (last party we broke the hell out of them!) and also added to. Costumes are strongly encouraged, but not required. Dress to impress! It seems traditions spring up in the weirdest places. The sledgehammer will be back out this year! Last year we took any dead/obsolete electronic equipment and smashed away at it with a sledgehammer, relieving the tension our mechanical machinations cause us daily. I must say, it was QUITE therapeutic. Anyone who has anything dead or old they want to smash is more than welcome to store it behind the shed until the day of the party. Also, anyone who can get lots and lots of pumpkins after people stop wanting them so bad would be appreciated. We’ll be smashing those too! Also, maybe if the burn ban in NC is lifted we’ll even light it all on fire first. Speaking of fire, there will almost certainly be some kind of impromptu fire dancing going on, since I know and love an awful lot of burners!
