A light breeze picked up a strand of her hair and blew it across her beautiful alabaster skin . Her blue green eyes caught the moonlight glistening rivaling the stars themselves.
One lone tear slid down her cheek as she thought of the love that she had longed for. So long had she been searching that the vision had become blurred in her mind till now.
"Kelim why after all this time have you come to me? I was happy in my haze. But now .........now you have come to me re-instilling hope and giving nothing but old pains anew. Why do you haunt me so"
A dark figure slowly imurged from the forest as if born from the tree's themselves, flanked by two hounds, huge lumbering beasts born from the nightmares of children. The figure glided closer running his hands through the thick coarse hair of his companions.His hair and cloak flowed in an non existant wind, as a ghost trapped in his own reality.
"Does it pain you so to look opon my face maiden? Would you prefer that I left you to your fate with the beasts of this wood?Why have you sought me here?"
"PLEASE........" was the only word she got out before the sorrow took over and the tears flowed like a spring waterfall.
"Please .........I..........I had to come my heart could no longer bear losing you to my fading memory. Kelim I can no longer wait, please give up this crusade and fulfill your promise to me."
Kelim's hard cold expression softened . He brushed a tear off of Heather's cheek with a gentleness not felt since the earth herself gave life.
"Heather my love you know I cannot. Just know that my love for you strengthens me and helps bring a swift end to this. But I cannot stop till I have Cairons head on a pike.He shall suffer a thousand deaths and feel the inferno that is my hate for him.
A flicker of cloth and metal sliced a hand full of Kelim's hair to the ground. The severed locks twisted and braided themselves on the dew soaked forest floor.No sooner was it finished twisting itself into the fine braid , it was impaled sharply on the tip of his sword.
"Hold fast to these simple strands me'lady, for they hold my essence and my heart. As long as you keep them I will never be lost to you, Never truly die. Remember for as long as your love for me lives so do I. These beasts shall lead you back to safety go with them and know that I travel with you as well.
Kelim pulled his cloak up with a flourish the darkness seemed to envelope him entirely till he was not but a shadow . then just like before he glided back into the wood as a ghost whispering only one thing
"I am with you me'lady, forever with you my love"
