mum expired. [FRIENDS]

I ahve a real life friend. Test reveal that he may have liver cancer. The doctor wants to do a biopsy to make sure. He has turned it down, on the bases that he is 55 years old. The waiting list is so long that he will be an old man before his name comes up. He also feels like when air hits the cancer it spreads. He would rather take his chances the way things are now. Should he have the biopsy or not.
