Who am I, is a man defined by what he is, or what he believes, or by what he has achieved in life?
I am an American, from the State of Maine, the City of Biddeford. I graduated from Biddeford High School's college prep curriculum, but I never attended college, except for a few course at SMVTI.
I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul, as recorded in the Holy Bible. I also believe in the libertarian political philosophy, as outlinged by John Locke, Ayn Rand, and others. I am a believer in the free market theory of economics, as proposed by Adam Smith, in the Wealth of Nations.
I would like to see all men (by which, I mean all human beings) given the same chances to succeed in life, as long as they are willing to put forth the same effort towards achieving their goals.
I do not believe that any man should be penalized for his success, that is, the rich should not be taxed more heavily than any other member of society. It is the rich that supply the rest with jobs. It is also a waste of time taxing the rich, who have so many loopholes that they end up paying little anyway, and what little they pay are passed down in higher prices to the consumer.
I am opposed to minimum wage, as it only creates barriers to hiring entry level workers, who may be too inexperienced to be worth the cost. Raising minimum wages also does not help the poorest worker; rather hurts them. Increased wages puts them in a higher tax bracket, and makes certain jobs too expensive for the employer.
"Reaching into one's own pocket to assist his fellow man is noble and worthy of praise. Reaching into another person's pocket to assist one's fellow man is despicable and worthy of condemnation." - Walter Williams
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." Thomas Alva Edison
If you're not a socialist by the time you're twenty, you haven't got a heart. If you're still a socialist at forty, you haven't got a brain.

I believe we need a President who believes in the fundamentals of freedom on which the United States of America were founded.
