What I am about to show you can RUIN your Cell phone. Unless you are VERY Familiar with a computer & hacking cells, I suggest you don't do this. Understand Debranding Hacking your phone will void your warranty, but it will also give you really kewl options that are NOT available on a branded phone. I nor FUBAR is responsible if you mess up your phone. I STRESS this - YOU CAN Make your pretty lil' phone a PAPERWEIGHT! On another note - if you follow these steps DO NOT Fu-mail me with questions. I have done the following procedures I know they worked for MY phone. I will NOT say it will work for yours. I will not assist you in hacking your phone. Again this is here for Educational Purposes ONLY! The Why: So, I needed a new phone, my contract has been up.. so I have decided to buy a Sony Ericsson w580i. I have several mp3's & I wanted to put some of my favs on a cell. After doing what I am about to show you. I will do it again 100 times, because this phone is that Fowkin' Kewl! - This lil' Beauty cost me $24.99! Why - Because AT&T has this same phone @ their store for $50.00 (with renewal of a 2yr. contract, etc.) so I went to BESTBUY & got it for $24.99 - yes I still renewed my plan for 2 yrs thats a given. I had a Motorola Razr V3 - I hacked this Sh1t outta that phone - Enabled Club lights - Enabled Java menu - Turned on Battery Saver - & a whole slew of other Mods for it. but I never unlocked the phone. So I decided to play with the new Sony. Since I know that hacking de-branding your phone can Ruin the phone, I decided to this the cheap way since I only paid $24.99 for the phone.. I figured WTH let's give it a shot. HOLY SH1T am I impressed. See Sony Made this KICK A$$ phone with all these options like FLASH Menu's - Full MP3 Control... Media player ETC. Till AT&T Got their grubby lil hands on the Firmare & Made this kewl stuff DISABLED! This phone has 16 LED's in it to change colors, etc. But AT&T felt that it's Service Subscribers didn't need these kewl Features. Being the lil' "Bad Boy" I am I decided to hack the phone. Also - I purchased a 2gb M2 Stick to put 1000's tunes on! - This lil bay bay - even hooks up to the stereo in my CAR - So now I have a Cell phone & an Mp3 player - Radio all in 1! Benefits : Gains: - The BEST - I can go ANYWHERE in the world (with Quad Band Phone) & buy a cell chip @ any local store & it will work in my phone. I can go to Any Service Provider locally my phone will work with anyone that uses a Smart Chip! - You can use any mp3 as a ringtone - You get full versions of Sims 2 and Lumines Block (confirm?) - You can actually set the call light to what you want - You get some cool flash themes & The the ability to Add more - The MEdia Net button no longer takes you online by accident, now it is a cool multi-function button - Fitness functions work (Not sure if they didn't with AT&T Branded version) - You can switch between running applications now Lose: - All the AT&T branded junk, applications, links - MobiRadio - Email application (though you can just download this again) - ...i can't really think of anything else Well Now since I can Skin the phone also... Again... This Can Ruin your PHONE if your not careful. On another note - if your USING WinBlowz Vista - You must Run these progs in ADMINISTRATOR Mode !!! or they will not work. Before doing anything here, you should have the drivers, already installed on your phone. DO NOT Send Me Questions on Help or How to do this. Again this is for Educational Purposes ONLY - I nor Fubar will be Responsible if you Ruin Your Phone!

Part 2 ( this worked to fix my Internet as well as MM Text Messages ( Picture Texting )
Go to the messaging menu, then down to settings.
For text messages: enter service center no: +13123149810
For picture messages: enter as in above tutorial.
*Important: the Internet configurations received from Sony Ericsson sites listed above are incomplete. They will get you on the internet (maybe), but they won't work for picture messaging.
Make sure your internet/WAP profile has the following info:
Use Proxy: YES
Proxy Address: 066.209.011.032
Port Number: 80
Leave Username and Password Blank
