Nathan came home from the hospital Friday evening. My daughter called me to make sure it was ok to leave him sleeping all wrapped up in a swaddling blanket. I laughed and said he probably prefers it that way! She called again last night saying she was having baby issues. I asked her what was wrong. She told me Nathan was hungry but wasn't drinking the formula and was just spitting out what he did get in his mouth. I told her he wasn't really hungry yet and to give him 20 minutes and try again. She had done the whole diaper routine so he wasn't in a messy diaper. He was just fussing. I told her that she would learn what each cry/fuss was really about soon and then she wouldn't be so worried that he wasn't eating when she thought he should. I wish I could be a fly on her wall watching her take care of her little one.

Nathan has developed pneumonia. I went to see him on Wednesday afternoon. They say he is doing better and that they are going to try to take the breathing tube out Thursday(today). They also told my daughter she MIGHT get to hold him today. I couldn't stay any longer because of my job. But my ex husband and his wife have offered to let me crash there over Christmas if I can come up with the time off to go up there! Thank you to anyone who is reading my blogs on my grandson.

My Grandson arrived into this world today! My daughter's water broke on Thanksgiving morning. I drove to NY... He decided to take a nap until yesterday afternoon when contractions begain. He arrived this morning at 10:35 am. He is doing pretty well but is staying in the NICU for a few days. If all goes well he will come home Tuesday! His name is Nathan and he weighs 6 lbs 6 oz. and is 19 inches long. I have pics of him but I don't have room on here until I level up. I am so exicted!!
