The Queen, God save her, is pissed to gills, because her oldest grandson's new wife, sold the rights of their wedding photographs to Hello! Magazine - something I understand to be on the same level as 'Us' or something considered rather tacky by royal standards.
The wedding took place at St. George's Cathedral and if it was up to royal standards (and by the pictures I saw, it was) it probably cost an arm and a leg.
The bride has been quote as saying, Why not? It wasn't like anyone else was going to pay for the wedding.
You know, I know how much weddings cost anymore. It's not unusual for a wedding to cost... 10, 20... 50 thousand bucks. It's ridiculous! I imagine the cost of marrying the Queen's eldest grandson was astronomical and painful to the wallet. I know what I charge to play a wedding (anywhere from 100 to 500 dollars)
So I think the Queen needs to get over it. What pictures I saw were taken outside the chapel, from a ways off, and nothing inside.
But I didn't see the entire article either. So that means nothing!
