What are you waiting for?
I have been working the same ol' grind for about 10 years without much of a break. Work has been slow lately, since the ECONOMY is so darned slow, so web design has been a slow business to be in lately. I have been out knocking on doors trying to drum up business, but most of the small mom and pops are going under. It is kind of a sign of the times...I guess. I am seriously thinking about relocating, but then you hear the old timers tell stories of the Oklahoma dust bowl...and they thought that they could improve their lot by packing up and moving...I just have this vision of the Grapes of Wrath. I think I'll stick to life where I am. I love the places I see..the parks here are green....lots of fresh running water, Japanese gardens, wildlife, flowers...everything I would ever want to see daily. I am going to get my mountain bike out soon...and start doing my daily ride of about 20 miles.
I love to shoot pool, play darts, and maybe see sports on the big screen...but when Damon's went out of business here, the sports bar scene sort of dried up. I guess there is always the BW3 stuff, but there aren't many other options here in NE Columbus. I hope I can find a way to get out west sometime later this summer/fall...I'd love to see the Pacific Northwest again...even if mold does grow on you overnight.
I am planning on hitting the road this weekend, hopefully, to see some of the Southeastern Ohio area around Gallipolis/Jackson. I wish I had a motorcycle that worked...lol. My transportation troubles are just the tip of the iceberg lately. I didn't realize gas was going to get so expensive...but in the long run...I think it will be better for everyone to be better stewards of natural resources.
I am looking for some serious long term prospects, but like a lot of single guys, I don't necessarily see a need to hold my breath yet. I would love to find some local ladies that are interested in chatting a little...maybe grabbing a cup of coffee if there is some interest....no pressure.
Anyhow, usually after a long dry spell, there is usually a long growing season...so I guess I just create more opportunities for the social life to happen....we'll see. If you are in the area..and want to grab a bite..or a cup of coffee...drop me a note.
