since i have joined my husband here in germany my health has fallen apart. I was 7months pregnant when i arrived and i only got 2 prenatal checks because they dont see military dependents at the ob clinic. I started having contractions every 5 min at 34 weeks but had to be sent to a german hospital because the army one didnt have room in the nicu for us (all though later found out that there were 2 other women who had premees there at the same time as i was told no room. they were both higher ranking then my husband. i went through the next 3 weeks on bed rest and continual contractions but not enough dialation. at 38weeks the contractions got me to be 4 cm and stalled so they gave me morphine and sent me home(an hr away) to rest.well we got to the house up stairs and my husband fell asleep. i went into active labor imediatly by the time we got to the hospital i was 7cm they got me a bed and an epidural the doctor didnt put it in right so it didnt work but it was too late i was ready to push. i wanted the drugs id been through 4 weeks of those contractions i was tierd. after 20 min of pushing my beautiful boy was born. he was healthy but he had a little morphine in his system.
then they moved us from the delivery wing to the post partum wing (9it looks like the cell in the movies saw) i was released the next morning the doctor told me i didnt need birth controls since my husband was going to be gone for 6 weeks. my son though was not released so we were there waiting for the doctor to check him out and do his circumsision. finally 5 hrs after i was released the doctor came she did the circumsision and brought him back said we wont release him today because he has a problem bleeding. the doc started saying i must have done something while i was pregnant that made him have a bleeding problem. then we had to run all these tests after those came back negative more tests all negative finally she called in a uroligist he said it looked like it should but had never seen one done like his was. three days after his birth i had been released so i had to buy my own food ad they were going to kick me out of the hospital. finally they decided after i threated to walk out w/ my baby did they say we could go home. i was suffering post partum blues locked in a room out of a horror movie and they fucked up my son.
well still my son has a messed up penis and i have not received a post partum check up. my son when he is a yr old will have to go under general anesthetic to have it fixed. i didnt get on birth control till he was 3months.
