Fat Dumb and Happy's blog: "Frosted Mini-Me"

I must have been around 8 or 9, sadly under the impression that only boys farted. I guess it was a guy thing. Girls did not burp or fart, somehow they had been trained to suppress these functions. So I am sitting near the fence that separates my back yard from the house behind mine. Quiet, introspective, when I hear some giggling. Seems the neighbor girl had some friends over. I listened, curious little george that I was. I heard them talk about some of the boys I knew, some I didn't. After a few minutes I heard one girl say to the group "wait....here pull my" and before she finished the statement, this little girl blew out a tire popping fart. The group of girls just broke down laughing so hard. I was in shock. Never before had I heard such a display of macho behavior in a girl. This moment caused me to think what else do girls do when boys aren't around.

Damn fine day today, a little warm for my own preference but pleasant none the less. So I am doing some sub work at a local junior college. I spoke with a student today (he has CP), turns out his kidneys are failing. The med's he is on are no longer as effective, he is tired all the time and depressed. He still has a sense of humor. We talked about dating. I laughed and said to him, "I haven't dated in over two years. I simply bring nothing to the table." He laughed and told me he has plenty of young women pay him attention but it's not the kind of attention he would like. He gets a lot of "I'll call you later" or tears and sobs about his health. These same young women are always asking him if they can do anything for him and he replies "Yeah, take me out on a date, lets go see a movie or have dinner." "I'll call you later."
