Hello all~
Just back from a long awaited, much needed vacation. I had way too much fun, and I am perfectly pooped out for my return to legal slavery this coming Monday, which seeems to be Friday the 13th this month. I must be more FUBAR than I thought.
I fianlly made it down to Texas to visit my two grandsons - oh yeah, my son too. The youngest baby has fully recovered from his two eye surgeries in June & July and now he can see! He laughs at "gampa" making funny faces and clowning for him, and love to see the birds outside, just as I do. He also is a very tough little guy to survive the torture he gets from his older brother. Big brother still remembers all the funny faces I taught him, just like their father does.
Between the two of them, they wore out my big, rolling butt on our trip to the Texas coast. We went to Port Aransas, and it was HOT! It was a long trip, but I am glad I got to go. I am a lot poorer but enriched at the same time if you know what I mean.
I stopped in Grapevine both ways to visit a friend I haven't seen in over 7 years, so that was nice too. We went to the Dallas WOrld Aquarium and also tried to drink all the margaritas in DFW. We failed at that, but we had our share. Sometimes failure is a good thing. Also, staying out of a Texas drunk tank is always good! :)
I came home to my houseful of pets & girls. The cats actually acted like they were glad to see me, my little bird could care less - he has cats to entertain him - and Captain Sweetheart and daughter had survived my absence intact. After several days with "the boys" it was good to see lingerie hanging in my bathroom to dry. Girls smell a lot better than boys!
It's official. I have survived two name changes on this site, and the friends I have met are genuinely great people, and for that I am always grateful. You are the best. You know who you are! Love you all. And big teddy bear hugs. OK, kisses on the neck too, I get greedy!!! :)
Someday I will catch up on all my photos of the suummer and post new ones. Really! Take care and thanks for stopping by.
