By January, it is my goal to have my realtor's license here in Texas. I have just recently had my vast education evaluated and I have only 3 courses that I need to take, as well as the exam of course. I also already have a sponsor spoken for so things are moving in the right direction already.
As I am getting my feet wet by working for a mortgage broker and a realtor as their assistant and property manager, I am in contact with many, many other realtors.
Many of them won't even look at a person unless they have incredibly high credit scores and want to get into mansions.
To me, though, I am more interested in helping the underdog thinking that everyone deserves a decent place to live and call home. Is a mansion really a "home"? I wonder.
Helping the underdog overcome the not-so-good credit issues and getting them into a home they will love to call home feels so much better to me. I guess that is part of the advocate in me.
Question for you is -- even if you are compensated very well for your job, do you do your job for the love of the money, or because you love what you do?
Also, are you able to help the underdog in your job?
Just curious.....
