It had low ratings. I'm serious. That's why anything gets cancelled. Fox was actually ridiculously fair to the series I remember seeing the Arrested crew on my Burger King carry out bag for a couple months before this season began and I was thinking wow, pretty obscure show to be getting the Burger King treatment (you know, usually reserved for "event movies" like X Men). It won Emmys. It was heavily promoted during NFL games.

And, it still drew in viewers similar to what barely promoted WB/UPN shows bring Darius Butler Jersey in too. I really am not going to blame Fox for dropping the ball on this one.

My one regret is that in the age of 150 channel television, not one enterprising network is going to pick it up. In an age when any show brining in 2 3 million viewers a night on cable is a hit, I bet Showtime or HBO would do great if they renewed and ran Arrested.

A demand to cancel Arrested Development!!!

I actually didn't like it at first either. Only after I started from the beginning did I get into it. I don't think the intro really explains the show's premise and it's hard to catch on to the relationships between the characters even after seeing a couple of episodes.

My wife, who is more of a Grey's Anatomy/Desperate Housewives fan, actually has gotten into it as well after we started from the beginning. Makes me think that maybe if they explained it a little better, they could have gotten people into it.

I think it would've done better around the same time as Seinfeld's reign. This is just conjecture, but perhaps that crowd is now a little too distracted by the internet, HBO/Showtime and TiVo/DVR/OnDemand. I saw every episode of the series, but viewed maybe two or three when they were originally broadcast I bought the DVDs for the first season and mostly downloaded the second and third season from torrents. Besides being busy and distracted, I almost never watch network TV. The only thing I watch regularly are the Sunday night HBO shows. If the Arrested Development demographic is mostly like me, I can see why it didn't do to well (though I'd have thought DVD sale could have reversed that situation). And, Burger King ads? Doesn't really seem like the best advertising channel for this show.

I'm serious though, I only saw one episode and it didn't Jerrell Freeman Limited Jersey make any sense at all. There was an old dude living in the attic (I guess the father), I had no idea why. And then there was some sub plot about a seal that had bitten someone else in the cast released.

An estranged husband and wife hid in someone's shower in order to collect a girl's urine to see if she was pregnant, at which point they had sex or something in the shower.

And some kid wanted to join the army, much to the Chagrin of his mother, who was like the matriarch of the family.

I'm sorry, but it was like a collection of totally random elements. I have no idea why anyone would find it funny or certainly find it "character driven" The characters were facing completely bizarre situations and not Darius Butler Limited Jersey acting that strange, I mean, how is it realistic to be worrying about your daughter's relationship while your father is hiding in an attic and all this other crazy stuff.

The show was nonsense.

mullacc. Agree with you. I never watched them broadcast either. I think I saw some comment on longtail or lostremote mentioning how they should pack up and try to sell it online since that is the main demographic. Probably could have been pretty successful.

It's a pretty hard show to figure out, if you are coming in after the fact, esp. if someone isn't there to give you a sense of how different the humor is, the sight gags, etc. So an average TV viewer hasn't got a prayer of becoming interested, as far as I can tell. I started into it last year and had the same reaction I did when I was young and saw Monty Python, which is that it blew my mind. The writing and comic timing was better than any show I can remember ever seeing on network TV. But that's pretty much the kiss of death in a medium that rewards mediocrity at every turn.

delmoi. my opinion, too until i started from the beginning. i think that was the real flaw with the program and the line between people who liked it and those who didnt.

I think it's the type of show that you really needed to watch from the beginning. I rented the first season DVDs before I started watching it on TV and I'm glad I did. Jumping into it in the middle would have been really confusing.

Also, I think it was a bit too intelligent for the average TV viewer. There were so many quick jokes, call backs to other episodes, pop culture references, and sub plots that it would turn off anyone who is used to watching shows like Friends.

It reminded me a lot of the show Soap, from back in the 70s, a show that also had too much for TV viewers to keep up with.

Westchester County

Verizon and cablevision are both fiber optic. The main reason the fios picture looks better is Pat McAfee Womens Jersey because cablevision was the first cable/tv provider in the area. alot of their lines are old. but they use the same lines, and if you had cablevision come and update the lines, or use the lines after verizon installed new ones, you would notice barely any difference in the picture quality.

Fios starts out in the year promotion triple play offer for 99. but then after that the prices go up dramatically. I have alot of friends who all switched to fios back in 2005 and 06 with me Pat McAfee Jersey and if you look at even cablevisions normal rates its much better than Verizions. So getting a promotion is going to be saving alot of money

i dont like all the taxes verizon charges every month, because i wasnt paying them with cablevision and at the end of the day im watching all of the same shows so why pay www.coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-COBY-FLEENER-JERSEY.html more?? its why I switched in the first place.

what do you think? is it worth paying 30 120 more dollars a month for the extra channels? i dont think so. maybe other people are different but most of them seem the same to me

First, Cablevision is not Fiber to your house. They Cory Redding Womens Jersey do have Fiber to your neighborhood, but then its copper to your house. And they used to and may still share that copper among you and your neighbors. Meanwhile, FIOS customers get an individual Fiber line into their house. Which is not shared by anyone else in the neighborhood.

Secondly, brand new copper lines is not going to change how slow your cablevision service is. Old copper lines work just as new ones do unless they have been damaged (bent or cut). But the bad thing about copper is the signal loss over long distances. So if you are the last house in your neighborhood you may have the worst cablevision signal. Also, Fiber technology has been around for decades, so no it is not like new versus old computers.

The only thing that would improve cablevision would be if they stopped sharing your connection and brought fiber directly into your house.

Thirdly, when you have FIOS you can sign up for the latest promotional plan at the end of your contract. If you have had FIOS for almost 4 years and didn't know this. MEANWHILE cablevision doesn't do this, I believe you have to not be their customer for 6 months before you can sign up for the new promotional coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-ADAM-VINATIERI-JERSEY.html price!!!

Finally, you don't need to know the specifics of the technology to make a choice between the two. Just ask people's opinion of which one is better. Or better yet, try it out yourself. If you DO NOT notice a difference between cablevision and FIOS picture quality and speed, then Cory Redding Limited Jersey stick with whatever is cheapest for you. There are plenty of reasons to go with either service, but it is very subjective.

When I ordered the service on their website, a couple of days later they changed prices and it actually went down. I called to cancel, so I could create a new order with the new prices. They do NOT want you to cancel, period, so the tech transferred me and I got another department (forget what it's called) to 'keep' customers.

I explained that I didn't even have the service yet, but instead of canceling, she offered me more discounts, which is why I have a $45/month discount, good for the full term of the (2yr) contract.

I live in Pleasantville, if that helps with the tax info.

I've never had to call Verizon customer service since I got the service last summer. I have had to call Cablevision, and within the last couple of years, it HAS gotten better. It used to be a nightmare.

As for being more expensive, I would argue otherwise. I was paying $160 a month for Cablevision, for their triple play, with the lowest Internet speed option and the "Silver IO" package, which is their lowest digital package with movies. It is true that they do not charge you for the HD channels, but I'm getting, without the discounts, a lot more for less. Plus, I can see the pixelation on the HD channels on Cablevision, where I don't with Fios. But I work in the broadcast industry and I'm attuned to the little things that most people don't see or hear.

What we learned from Devin McCourty Womens Jersey the Seahawks' 2014 draft

The Seahawks started this year's draft with six picks, they ended it with nine and over three days the reigning Super Bowl champions answered some questions but created just as many.

1. The Seahawks don't always prefer size on defense.

Yes, strong safety Kam Chancellor could be mistaken for a linebacker and cornerback Richard Sherman would play small forward on a basketball team, but they don't always err on the side of size. Proof of that came in the form of Kevin Pierre Louis, the linebacker Seattle drafted with one of its three fourth round picks. He stands 6 feet and played at 220 pounds as a senior at Boston College, which led to a repeated line of questioning about whether Seattle intended to move Pierre Louis to safety. Not necessarily, said Seattle's northeast scout, Todd Brunner, who evaluated Pierre Louis. Definitely not, said general manager John Schneider. He's a weakside linebacker, an incredibly athletic one because size isn't everything. Not for Pierre Louis. Not for Paul Richardson, the whippet of a receiver who weighed all of 162 pounds at Colorado last season and was Seattle's second round choice, the first player the Seahawks drafted this year.

2. They do always require speed. Jerod Mayo Authentic Jersey

That's as true for undersized linebackers as it is for a 310 pound offensive lineman like Garrett Scott from Marshall, whose vertical leap was measured at 33.5 inches and who ran 40 yards in 5.04 seconds at his pro day. "In wet conditions," Scott added. The size found on Seattle's roster may vary, but not the speed for that size. It's there from Richardson's selection as the fastest wide receiver tested at the scouting combine to Pierre Louis through Scott's selection in the sixth round.

3. Seattle isn't worried about its guards.

Many considered guard to be the team's top need after the free agent departure of Paul McQuistan. James Carpenter is the presumptive starter at left guard, and two years removed from knee surgery and a position switch from tackle, the former first round pick has never quite solidified his hold on a starting slot. Sweezy, a converted defensive lineman who's above average in the run game but can be prone to mistakes in pass protection. Yet while Seattle drafted two offensive linemen this weekend, neither projects as an interior player. However, Seattle sees Alvin Bailey as a promising player capable of playing guard, and even Michael Bowie who started eight games at right tackle last season could be a guard long term.

Three things we're still trying to Jerod Mayo Womens Jersey figure out:

1. Will Sidney Rice wind up making the www.officialpatriotsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-ROB-GRONKOWSKI-JERSEY.html team?

The Seahawks drafted Richardson in the second round, Kevin Norwood in the fourth and they now have 12 receivers on the roster. They have never kept more www.officialpatriotsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-JULIAN-EDELMAN-JERSEY.html than six players at that position on the cut down to 53, and while Sidney Rice's return on a one year contract was heralded as a no lose proposition, there's no guarantee he'll be around. You can write Percy Harvin, Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse onto the roster in pen as well as Richardson. Add in Norwood, Rice along with Ricardo Lockette, Phil Bates and CFL import Chris Matthews among others and receiver might just be the stiffest competition for a roster spot.

2. How much smaller will Seattle's Devin McCourty Limited Jersey defensive line be?

The Seahawks will definitely be smaller after the departure of Red Bryant, who signed with Jacksonville after he was released by Seattle. Their fourth round pick, Cassius Marsh, weighs 255 pounds, which is 70 pounds lighter than Bryant's listed weight. Now, they're different players, maybe even different positions, but Seattle's specs may be changing along the line. The Seahawks still have plenty of big bodies whether it's Greg Scruggs, who weighs more than 310 pounds coming off knee surgery, or Jesse Williams, whom the Seahawks hope will be able to return after missing last season because of a knee injury. Seattle's fifth round pick, Jimmy Staten, weighs 310 pounds and will play defensive tackle so it's not like the Seahawks will be suddenly skinny, but the defensive line will have a different profile.

3. Which will be better represented in 2014: this year's draft class or last year's?

The Seahawks drafted 11 players last year. Seven of them are currently on the roster. Seattle drafted nine players this year, and the free agent attrition will leave more vacancies on the 53 man roster this time around. But with 2013 draft picks like running back Christine Michael and defensive tackle Jordan Hill expected to make contributions after minimal action as rookies, it will be interesting to see just how many of the nine players Seattle drafted this year will make significant regular season contributions in 2014.

Who will they take at No

2013, Matt Elam, safety, Ravens: Elam, from Florida, had a solid, if unspectacular, rookie season, starting 15 games while stepping in for longtime Raven standout Ed Reed.

2011: Derek Sherrod, offensive tackle, Packers: Sherrod, from Mississippi State, has yet to make much of an impact. He played in five games as a rookie before suffering a broken leg http://www.coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-ERIK-WALDEN-JERSEY.html that cost him the 2012 season. He returned to play seven games as a backup in 2013.

2010: Patrick Robinson, cornerback, Saints: Robinson, from Florida State, has started 27 games in four seasons, including all 16 in 2012. But he suffered a knee injury two games into 2013 that cost him the rest of the season.

2009: Evander Hood, defensive tackle/end, Steelers: Hood, from Missouri, has been regarded as something of a disappointment for the Steelers, but has started 46 games in five coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-VONTAE-DAVIS-JERSEY.html seasons, including seven last year.

According to general manager John Schneider, one of the secrets to the success of the Seattle Seahawks is, well, secrets.

When he met the media at the NFL Jerrell Freeman Womens Jersey Combine last week, a reporter told Schneider the Seahawks have a reputation for doing a good job things under your hat when it comes to who they might draft, and other personnel matters.

appreciate you saying that, Schneider said. take that as a compliment. I really do. Loose lips sink ships. I think our people do a very good job of keeping things in house. other words, good luck getting a read from the Seahawks on who they might take with their first round pick when the NFL draft begins May 8.

As the Super Bowl champs, Seattle gets the 32nd and last pick in the first round (assuming, of course, no trades up or down). So who the Seahawks pick will also be a function of which players remain when their turn finally comes.

Schneider, head coach Pete Carroll and many other Seahawk coaches, scouts and executives were in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine, which wrapped up Tuesday and serves as sort of a symbolic beginning of the draft season.

The combine also helps to give a little more clarity as to which players might be available in which spots. True, misinformation runs rampant this time of year, and with the draft moved back two weeks, there more time than ever for things to change from now until the picks are called.

All caveats accepted, here a look at who might be available when the Seahawks pick at No. 32, and who might also make sense for Seattle to draft:

Kelvin Benjamin, wide receiver, Florida State: With Sidney Rice expected to be officially released soon (The Times has confirmed earlier reports that he will soon be cut), the Seahawks are without a big receiver on the roster (though in another caveat, what happens in the March free agency period will also greatly determine what a team true needs are come draft time).

Assuming Seattle still needs a tall receiver, Benjamin who measured 6 feet 5, 240 at the combine could fit the bill, if he available. Benjamin is one of two big receivers generally considered as potential first rounders, Texas A Mike Evans Jerrell Freeman Colts Jersey the other. But the consensus out of the combine is that Evans appeared more ready for the NFL and likely to go higher than Benjamin, who looked a little more like a project.

Brandin Cooks, wide receiver, Oregon State: Even if Evans and Benjamin are gone when Seattle pick comes, the Seahawks might still want a receiver regardless of size especially if they have lost Golden Tate or Doug Baldwin, or both, in free agency without getting a replacement. Cooks measured at 5 9 189 pounds at the combine but wowed Darius Butler Limited Jersey scouts with a 4.33 40 and a 36 inch vertical that might have, well, leapt him into the first round.

David Yankey, guard, Stanford: Another takeaway from the combine was the depth of the offensive line class, especially the tackles. The best of the tackles, though, will be long gone by the time Seattle picks. And at the moment, guard might be Seattle bigger need, anyway. Yankey played both at Stanford, but most teams view him as a guard. He another who some project a lot higher than Seattle No. 32 pick, but he didn put up impressive numbers at the combine, leading some to think he could fall to the end of the first round (and Seattle has done pretty well developing Stanford players the last few years).

Jace Amaro, tight end, Texas Tech: Heading into the combine, the tight end class was considered exceptionally strong. Coming out of the combine, the story line was that the tight end class failed to impress as much as expected (including a stress fracture in his foot that prevented Washington Austin Seferian Jenkins from participating). That could be good news for the Seahawks, especially if the team releases Zach Miller for salary cap reasons, as many speculate could happen. Amaro came out of the combine generally considered the No. 2 tight end after North Carolina Eric Ebron and might still be available at No. 32.

Xavier Sua Filo, guard, UCLA: Sua Filo, who played both guard and tackle at UCLA but is regarded more likely to end up inside in the NFL, was generally considered one of the Darius Butler Authentic Jersey better performing offensive linemen at the combine, and figures to be a late first, early second pick who might make sense for the Seahawks.
