Fire Tonight...
I'm lying in bed
and thinking about you,
the fire inside my
veins burning
red hot and white.
It guides me to you,
and to that sweet place
where I need never
bid you adieu.
The flames tease me tonight,
brighter than the moon,
and hotter than
the blaze of the sun,
yet a soothing,
guiding light.
I need not close my
eyes to dream of you,
for you arrive nightly
to warm me with your fire.
And as you call softly,
the world escapes me.
Everything stops.
All is quiet.
Life is forgotten,
as we become one.
