Ello mummers *waves to all*
I took some time to read up on this thing called Fiber Optics Internet and really what I can gather is that it's high speed taken to a new level...a whole new level. Well to be honest though, I've heard NOTHING about it until today and really was curious since it's gained so much popularity in our area, if anyone knew anything about it...in terms of how reliable it is, how it runs, does it use a separate modem?
Anyways...curiosity got the best of me and I decided I'd ask.
A quick run down, and correct me if I'm wrong...is below in terms of FO Internet stands in comparison to DSL or Cable.
Dialup - 56 kbps
DSL - 150 kbps
Cable - 768 kbps
Fiber Optics Net - 5 mbps or.... 500,000 kbps
I think that's it lol...any comments and responses are greatly appreciated it. |
