Ok, this is sort of a rant, but more like my way of telling FU just how far in the shitter this site has become

I see people moving their family and friends list around like it was dirty laundry being washed daily. Do you do that with your family and friends not on the web?  Let me tell you what family and friends are, maybe then you'll get the picture.

Family are those close, trusted, and loved. They are TIME tested, not bling-buying tested. They are the ones that are there for you, good times, and bad, through months and years without fail, without question, without doubt. They bring no drama, no conditions, just trust and respect. Your number one family should be the one that has been by your side the longest, is the most trusted, and has, without fail been available when you needed no matter what time of day or night. That person should be the one that makes you feel good, makes you laugh, and helps you through the tough times. That person is NOT the one that buys you the most, or 'owns' you. That's just a whore feature and I for one wouldn't trust that person for one second because they're doing the same thing for someone else.

So look at your lists, and ask yourself the question "Has my family and friends stood the test of time?" Is my number 1 family or friend stood by me through everything the longest without and conditions and without fail?  If not, then you need to rethink your friends list, or you have a seriously flawed, and superficial, concept.

It's not about what you can get from others, it's about what you can give to others for being a time-tested friend. If you think otherwise, you're simply a self-centered parasite fu-whore.
