Since my son was born with Bartters Syndrome a decease that has been attacking his body since age 2 we have been through so much....He is now 25 years old and because of this my faith has grown...We have been told many times he would not see 6 but he did...The road has been long and hard. We have spent many nights in hospitals...Because of his Bartters his body holds no electrolites...His kidneys push them out like a faucet runnung full stream...He is the oldest alive with Bartters and until recently they really had no answers...My son was a pataint of stanford childrens hospital since age 5 until 18...He was the first bartters pataint they had ever treated and studied...We just found out that they recented preformed a transplant on an infant and it worked...Shawn is getting ready to have his transplant in 12 weeks..We are hoping that he will do as well...His body has gone through alot and doctors say he looks 25 outside but has aged inside to 80...His chances are slighter but because of all he has already gone through and made it I have faith that Jesus is not finished with him yet...I beleive he will live to see his glory...Shawn has 3 beautiful children my grandbabies and his only wish is to see them grow...Please pray with us and for us....
