What is EROS DAY?
EROS DAY is a holiday that celebrates passionate love and sexuality. On Eros Day, we honor Eros, who is both a great and powerful God, according to classical mythology, and a little phallic planetoid, according to modern astronomy, as well as the "Spirit of Eros," the idea of love and eroticism. Here at the Dr. Susan Block Institute, we celebrate EROS DAY, introduced to us by European film director and sex revolutionary Lasse Braun, every year, when the planetoid Eros 433 is closest to Earth. Eros Day festivities in other spaces in other cities are now springing forth, and we are delighted to hear of it. But just as Eleusis was to the Eleusinian Mysteries, so the Block Institute, a.k.a. Dr. Suzy's Speakeasy, is the primary temple of Eros Day celebration in the world.
