Nothing Happens Without Purpose (Circle Part 2)

We join our anti-hero in the Holy city of Pan Ra. In the temple of the Dragonlords. As he meditates in the inner chamber, a lone monk enters.
The monk senses the new Dragonlord is under alot of stress. The monk looks at Tauru with much concern.
DT: "What is wrong master?"
Monk: "I should be asking that question, Lord Tauru."
DT: "It's nothing master. Something I must deal with on my own."
At that moment, the monk realizes what it is he is meditating on.
Monk: "It's her again, isn't it?"
DT: "I can't hide anything from you master."
Monk: "Why do you distress so much? Oh I get it, you still aginize over your choice."
DT: "Yes and No. I know I was a different man then. But the love is still there."
Monk: "I know. That's what is giving you your focus. The one thing that was always there. The one thing that didn't leave you is your love for her."
Drake hangs his head. The monk sits right across for Lord Tauru. With a look and tone of compassion, he speaks again.
Monk: "You worry that she doesn't love you? Don't you?"
DT: "Yes master."
Monk: "Then why don't you ask her?"
DT: "That's the reason why I'm hear. I searching for the answer."
Monk: "Lord Tauru, you can't use your powers to find out if someone loves you. You should just know that she does."
DT: "That's another problem. I can't tell."
Silence fills the room. The monk is now worried that if Drake worries too much about his problem, he will lose focus on his mission. Then almost instantly the monk find the answer.
Monk: "It's the fear that's stopping you?"
DT: "Yes master."
Monk: "It's the fear that everything thing you've worked for will be destroyed if you make the wrong decision?"
DT: "Yes master."
Monk: "Remember when you came here. You thought everything was destroyed. And in a way it was. But like the Phoenix, you rose from your ashes and became Drake Tauru."
DT: "But that's different master."
Monk: "Not any different than when you found out you were gonna be a dad. Both times. Not any different than when you lost her."
DT: "But..."
Monk: "Not any different than when fate chose you to change your life. To be the man you are today."
DT: "......."
Monk: "Lord Tauru, nothing happens without purpose. You need to ask her."
DT: "But what if she doesn't. I don't know if I could handle it."
Monk: "Drake, you don't give yourself much credit. What about Shannon? She never loved you. And now look at you. You have survived."
DT: "I know"
Monk: "And when Jeanine did what she did to you, hiding the truth from you. You survived it."
DT: "With help."
Monk: "Then why won't you just ask her?"
DT: "Because I might lose that help."
Monk: "You might, but you might not. In fact that may be the whole reason why you now face this. Maybe you need to wrong the right."
DT: "Maybe"
Monk: "Does she know you still love her?"
DT: "I don't know master."
Monk: "Well then you need to tell her that when you ask her if she loves you."
