Not much to say, like to write (alot of poetry) up to four books so far, two self-published), short stories, just general doodling at times. Love basketball, martial arts, working out, keeping myself in some kind of shape. Enjoy movies once in a while, a good bar visit here and there. All in all, fun to be with, make you laugh, cover your back, designated driver type of guy.

Here's a couple pieces of mine......

"Too Many Times"

So many times I have searched within this soul.
It which provides me with lessons of old.
So many days I wondered in fear,
whether or not I would choose to continue here.
Many different options I've been given in time,
though choices made have not satisfied this heart of mine.
Where then to search? How then to feel complete?
As many days bring more confusion, to this towering heap.
Thoughts by the worldfuls contained in my mind.
A difficult process, as answers I do not find.
Confused I remain, within this realm of uneven play.
Not much to verbalize, yet so much internally to say.
Too many times, I have been down this road of equations.
Yet find myself lost once again, as I continue to lack creation.
So I search this soul one more time, though I know it to be unwilling.
Deep within this floorless pit, where I search for answers,
truly fulfilling.

“Wise Woman”

A wise woman once spoke to me and gave me some advice.
She said that when I thought all to be lost, I should really think twice.
She said, “Don’t you have your life, love and family as beautiful as mine?”
Then proceeded to remind me, of the beauty I possessed in my poetic verses and rhymes.
According to her, God had given me gifts, true only to my individual being.
This is something that everyone can find within themselves, yet some prefer not seeing.
Finding your gifts is not that hard, though you cannot search too profoundly.
Just feel your passion for particular abilities, then proceed to accentuate them soundly.
What others may be able to do with ease and very little effort. . .
May not necessarily be your strength or ‘gift’, yours may take individual guesswork.
Yet when you find it, your life takes on, a totally different feeling.
For there is no greater satisfaction, than discovering you’re special, once your gifts start revealing.
Not only to you, but also to those who surround you, within your everyday living conditions.
Those who sometimes need a little understanding and guidance, within their everyday missions.
Life can be difficult all around, yet these gifts allow us to ease some transitions.
Though the reward may be but a ‘thank you’, the satisfaction has no limit to its fruition.
It lasts forever in the mind of those, who always extend their helpful hand.
Then provides further development in his or her being, through continuous life-long demand.
For there is no one thing comparable to the gift of giving, when your gift offers helpful solutions.
Since life’s complications can cause frustrating developments and sometimes unbearable confusion.
This is the lesson a wise woman offered long ago, and for that, I will always love her.
For that wise woman truly helped me uncover my gifts and share them amongst all others.

When you see that someone could use a hand, don’t ask, simply offer yours.

One more for the fans............

“A House is not always Home . . .”

They say a house is not always a home,
for that word means more than just wood, brick or stone.
It means a place where you’re loved and cherished,
a place where one sits, to relive moments of high merit.
For life is often cruel, but family stands strong,
helping each other, as hardships come along.
The unity of family is a beautiful thing to feel,
for it is not just seeing, it resides in you, with appeal.
Others may see it and completely envy it as well,
not a strange thing, since others, can’t tell . . .
That this is something that can’t just be physically made,
it has to grow, together with age, day by day by day.
You see, a house is not always a home, not because of building appearance,
but because of indestructible structure, that love, mixes with perseverance.

As you stick with each other through and through,
any and all situations do not present a problem.
For as family sticking together and loving each other,
you find ways to somehow resolve them.
Giving each other kindness, respect and loyalty,
something not often seen these days.
This becomes the main ingredient with all this,
since the unity feeds off this wonderful array.
The pride carried along in each other,
spanning the greatest divide.
This is what makes all the difference in the world,
believing in each other, regardless of why.
For the love felt is so comforting and nurturing,
there is no need for further analysis.
Uniting in all that is done, whether together or far apart,
giving strength to the power of family cherishing catalysts.

A House is not always a Home, so now I thank you,
from the very center of my heart.
For within all that I have written about here,
I feel to be receiving this needed second start.
The love, the kindness, the unification, the appreciation,
haven’t always had that, for quite a spell.
Something we all need at key moments in our lives,
to help us re-appreciate, what we inadvertently dispel.
So I offer you my eternal gratitude, heartfelt hugs and kisses,
now full of sweet utterances, leading to a single loving smile . . .
One that shows that I’m being brought home, not just to any house,
amongst ALL my loving family, united, as should have been, for a while.

I love you, my beautiful, caring and understanding family.
