Hmm, I'm just the average girl doing everything she can to enjoy life. My passion is writing. My lifeline is my friends. My anchor to sanity is my husband. And my love, my pride and joy, is my six year old daughter, who has taught me to be a child again, taught me about unconditional love and trust, and has amazed me with her patience and caring nature. I'm the girl that is still discovering who she is, that is realizing the journey to this discovery never ends, and although it's an unending process, I've come to love who I am, appreciate how I got here, and cherish the thought of who I will be tomorrow. I work as a technical writer, and I wake up with a smile, anxious to start my day. I work on fiction writing in my spare time. I love the challenge of making everyday an adventure, finding new things to enjoy, and meeting new people to share in all the excitement. Just as an added note: I do not share my IM info. I dont have the attention span to sit and type back and forth. Emails are my thing. Or the shoutbox.

Interests
Interests? It may be easier to list the things I'm not interested in. Writing is my number one love. Many, especially my very patient husband, would say talking is a big hobby of mine. I enjoy being around people. Laughter is a must throughout the day. If you cannot find something to laugh about, then something is wrong.
Of course, shopping is an addiction of mine, but in a good way. I search for that perfect sale, the steal that I can tell everyone about.
Hmm... what else? Some more of my likes: singing out loud (and off key) in the car, dancing and not caring who notices that I have no rhythm, hanging out with friends, late night talks, early morning fog, a long email from my girl E, my bulldog's laugh (yea, no lie), my jug dog's smile, unexpected visits, staying up late with Matt, vibrant pink, belly laughs, second glances, Prada, the feel of Matt's skin as he kisses me before rushing out in the morning, glitter.....
Music
This varies with my mood and energy level. My always steady favorite is Tom Petty. Others: Greenday, The Killers, Hinder, Billy Joel, Lords of Acid, Nick Cave, Cat Stevens, Gwar, Evanescence, 50 Cent, Rob Thomas, Blondie, Coldplay..... And I love musicals, jazz, blues, anything really.
Movies
I'm not much on movies simply because I hate sitting still that long. But favorites include The Outsiders, The Notebook, The Butterfly Effect, Dusk till Dawn, True Romance, Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackass
As for TV: Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, House, Dr. Phil, and yea, some reality shows. ;)
Idols
This is a tough one. I have people I admire: my husband for putting up with the girl that goes nonstop- whether it's talking or taking on a new hobby. My friend E for her confidence and her unending support. She taught me that confidence is sexy and loyalty among friends is a must. My daughter taught me that having fun isnt about age and being kind and good at heart doesnt have to come with maturity, some are just born with it.
As for idols and heroes, I try not to put anyone on a pedastal because the fall can hurt. Everyone has something, a spark, a talent, something that draws others to them when they focus on that good. I respect and appreciate people that have the self assurance to know what they like, to not be afraid to go after it and not be ashamed to love themselves, yet have the intelligence and compassion to not let it overtake them.
It's too easy to not love yourself. Too easy to just give up and let life overtake you. It takes much more courage and work to be the person you want to be and simply grab life and squeeze every ounce of enjoyment out of it. It takes much more to shine than to simply go unpolished.
