After being together on and off for 5 years. My boyfriend just recently gave me a ring for Christmas... but he never purposed so I know it isn't an engagement ring, so is it a promise ring? Or no.

He never said we were GOING to get married, but he never said we wouldn't. And he never mentioned it was a promise ring either.
